Thanks! I'm sure figuring out will be fun as well. Reading this forum and reddit is useful, made some notes on some set up tips and tricks.
Also I'm planning to start easy as it's my first headset and I only have a 1070. Which I ironically bought for VR 4 years ago, I just didn't expect it'll take me 4 years to finally get a headset.
Will probably invest in a 3080 soon.
 
Just got an email from Systemactive! Apologising for Hp's behaviour, and that they were overwhelmed by cancellation because of that (now that HP is selling the headset with 48 hour delivery)
Got a tracking number and its out for delivery!

HP is a mess. But systemActive was great. Communicating when they had information.

What format did your tracking take? I got the email but my tracking was just 6 numbers which isn't a recognised format obviously. Was there a letter prefix for it?

Man, I am delighted that your headset is finally on the way!!

I can't wait to read your first impressions and not of the headset, but of VR itself. :)
 
Ordered mine on the 14th of Oct via SA, only contact so far was the update on the 19th of Nov.

Hope it still arrives on or before the 10th.
Thought about cancelling and ordering via HP, but was ok waiting for the 2nd pre order batch date.

Can't wait to try it out, upgrading from a rift CV1.

They are still expecting the second batch on Wednesday with deliveries on Thursday. Probably October pre orders will be in 3 days. Still on time it seems!

Sweeeeeet. Fingers crossed.
Although hp screwing it up with direct sales is terrible for SA, and shouldnt have happened, if it messes with scalpers, I'd still be happy.
This year has been the year of the scalp. First toilet paper, then gpu and all other electronic goods. A dark glimpse of what the world becomes when things go south.

According to SA, HP sold units allocated for pre-orders. I did write to SA asking if it means October pre-orders are at risk, but got no reply whatsoever.
 
Guys, mine has a display port, which is plugged in now, but also a USB C, wasnt there supposed to be a C to A converter thing?
It only has display port to usb mini A if I see this correctly. Am I uspposed to plug both in?
