Thanks buddy,

I’ve had to leave it boxed up while my wife and I visited a pre school for our boys. Then home and sort them out, eat food, then I can escape and check it all out.
I can’t wait!
 
I received my G2 headset within 24hrs of ordering and it paired up well with controllers from the original HP WMR headset. I am able to do everything with them and I am not missing any features. Overall the experience is impressive, amazing clarity and no SDE. This is a keeper.

Someone on reddit said SA told them their September pre order will be delivered after the next batch arrives, next Wednesday.
But there are people who pre ordered late September getting theirs today. So who knows.
September pre orders still have a chance arriving this week.
October, who knows.

Well, I meant officially in the UK only SA had the pre order distribution rights.
It's stressful as it is, waiting for Amazon Spain or bestware is another level.

The reddit posts are all about the systemActive deliveries. From what I've seen the Amazon spain pre orderers are still in the dark.

Got my HP Reverb G2 today.
I ordered on the 3rd Sept.
No tracking email, but not complaining. Just pleasantly surprised.

Have set it up and very happy with it already. My only issue is that it is stuck on 60hz, but I think that is a problem with my PC as I am running an old RX480 GPU.

This is my first jump into VR. I just spent the last hour in Google Earth VR. Got a bit teary looking at home back in Australia.
 
On top of everything it's quite frustrating that September orders are being shipped before August ones in some cases it seems. But at this point it's not worth getting stressed over any more I don't think!

Great, I have the same GPU, please share your experiences in terms of performance in various games. There are some neat setup tricks in this thread, which may help GPU-limited rigs a bit.

Did you get a email when it was dispatched
 
It seems the August-September batch is one and they are just sending them out randomly as they are processed.
Looks like Parcelforce only delivers before 2 pm on saturdays, and no deliveries on sunday, so the rest is Monday onwards.

My plan is to try google Earth first...
First Vr headset.
I'm over thirty but excited like a little kid.

Thanks for the link.

The RX480 4GB is good enough for things like Google Earth VR. I even played a little Elite Dangerous but a better GPU is definitely needed.
Also my 60hz is a little pain and I suspect that is Radeon bug.

This is the bleeding edge, so I am expecting little bugs to be encountered.

Setup will be a bit tricky, but worth it.
Also, with Google Earth, it took me a while but you have to select a custom controller layout. There is one already there for the G2.
