I preordered a 32gb earlier, and now they have been removed and only 16gb preorders are being taken.

Think they might be preselling them for the morning. Might be worth doing, no cash taken until they contact you.

Right on. The ipad is highly reliant upon its app store to make up for certain missing 'features' that the touchpad has natively.

On Amazon? The 32GB ones sold out from Amazon official before the price reductions for the 16GB ones so don't hold out hope...
