I didn't get a despatch email from CPW for my TouchPad, just a text with the tracking number. The CityLink order tracking link has the number on it though as well (via the mycarphone thing).

Reason for that is any items under £50 gets sent via Royal Mail which I guess is standard delivery so no tracking number. I reckon they have sent the case and touchpad in separate packages.

I think its just wishful thinking, but i'm sure your not the only one who's keeping an eye out at 00.00..

Cheers...we'll see how it goes. I'm mad with 'rainforest' and it sucks a lot of people missed out. I've read that there will be another shipment to UK but that HP are distributing to their select high street partners. Maybe i'll have better luck trawling some stores.
 
writing this from my touchpad :-) I'm very pleased with it but I can't get on the camera unless on skype where my friend had trouble hearing me all is still good though :-)
 
My CPW order was *2479, it was quickly cancelled by them, but today I got an e-mail saying that it's dispatched.

Luckily my play orders were cancelled or I'd have ended up with double o.O

Anyone else had their order cancelled but then magically not?

Possibly, although I've got a yodel tracking link included in the email. When I click the link it comes up with an error message. The only thing different to the link in my touchpad dispatch email is that there is no job included in the link (or anywhere else in the email).

Are you sure it doesn't load up CityLink? (or something)

Paste it into Yodel and Royal Mail, see what happens!

I reckon there must be some sort of mistake with their dispatched order template. If you look at the About Your Delivery part of your dispatched confirmation email it says: "All items that cost less than £50 (excluding phones) are delivered by Royal Mail. These deliveries usually take 2-3 working days."

CPW has a habit of putting wrong courier tracking info anyways! On their order tracking site it leads you to City Link site, so I tend to ignore their tracking links! :D

It's a yodel link and it takes me to yodel's site. Instead of showing me the progress of my shipment it says this:
We regret that due to a technical error, we are unable to provide our web tracking service at the moment. We are investigating the problem with urgency and will return the service as soon as we can. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

The link ends "...parcelNumber=". The link to the tracking of my touchpad is identical with the exception that it has a parcel number on the end.

Either, like jesta says, they've put the wrong courier tracking details in or they've somehow missed out my job number for yodel.

My yodel tracking has said 'Load transfer receipt' since about 3pm.

Really confused right now. How can they cancel my order but then go ahead and charge me and dispatch them?

Did lots of people get their cards declined and I was in reserve or something :confused:
 
I'm still waiting for some kind of response from CPW. I think they may have taken the money, but it's hard to tell with the way I run my account..:eek:

No cancellation email, can't track using the website, my number ends in 42xx and I understand some with higher numbers have been successful so I wait and wonder.....

I wish I had never heard of the damned HP Touchpad...

Many others have reported receiving initial notification that their orders were cancelled only to have them processed, dispatched and delivered.

You, sir, are in luck :)
