Apologies in advance...

Dizzy
I'm so dizzy, my head is spinnin'
Like a whirlpool, it never ends
And it's you, HP Touchpad, makin' it spin
You're makin' me dizzy

First time that I saw you, HP Touchpad, I knew that I just had to make you mine
But it's so hard to talk to you with HUKD hangin' round you all the time
I want you for my sweet pet
But you keep playin' hard to get
Goin' around in circles all the time

Dizzy
I'm so dizzy, my head is spinnin'
Like a whirlpool, it never ends
And it's you, HP Touchpad, makin' it spin
You're makin' me dizzy

I finally got to talk to you and I told you just exactly how I felt
Then I held you close to me and kissed you and my heart began to melt
HP Touchpad, you've got control of me
'Cause I'm so dizzy I can't see
I need to call a doctor for some help

Dizzy
I'm so dizzy, my head is spinnin'
Like a whirlpool, it never ends
And it's you, HP Touchpad, makin' it spin
You're makin' me dizzy
My head is spinnin'
Like a whirlpool, it never ends
And it's you, HP Touchpad, makin' it spin
You're makin' me dizzy
Oh, I'm so dizzy
You're makin' me dizzy
Yeah, I'm so dizzy

Been trying all week and I didnt get one... only 3 cancelled orders.

Also they wont put them back into production, since half the problem is people didn't consider them an option at the original price.

Why is it greedy? I would prefer more space and my 32gb will go to someone at work or a friend who missed out.

Those that put the effort in generally ended up with one or more Touchpads, I even told people what I was doing with Argos. You can lead a horse to water...

I wasn't talking about you specifically,

It was more directed to the swines on ebay who are flogging 10+ units :p

And there is plenty of people who have been putting in the effort since sunday night/monday morning to no avail :(

Exactly. I've been scouring the net almost constantly, talked to people on the phone, been to shops, popped to London and have just been plain old unlucky.

I have nothing against people who have been lucky enough to buy multiple units for themselves, but I do think the people who've bought just to relist their units on eBay and Amazon marketplace are profiteering scumbags.

We can't blame others really, it was bound to happen given the nature of the situation. If anything I blame hp/ some of the retailers for handling this so badly.

Wouldnt be so bad but when you go on said sites and find them being list at £275 just takes the ****

Been following this deal since it cropped up and still no luck with getting hold of one, have had them in my basket at JL, Staples, Comet and PCWorld and an order cancelled at Staples, but still no luck....

Good luck to everyone else still trying

I'm half tempted to get the one from cleverboxes ebay store, but it's sickening that they are charging over £100 more for them.

Yes, we can blame them. I see what you're saying, but ultimately people are responsible for their own actions. There are selfish people in life and there are selfless people. I know that if I had managed to bag multiples I did not need I would have made people here happy by passing them on to OcUKers (and still will do that if I can bloomin' find any).

No I think blatant buying for the sole purpose of selling at inflated prices is shocking behavour, understandable perhaps, but highly distasteful. I think the retailers have been caught in the middle of this, unawares, and have taken some collateral damage. No all retailers mind you. But your right, HP have handled this very badly.

I've just taken delivery of mine, I bought it about an hour before the price drop at full price to guarantee I had one, just waiting on Amazon to see if they will refund me the difference, if not its going back!

Anyone else buy at full price in hope of a refund?

Some HUKD members have mentioned their JL orders have been marked as dispatched already. Anyone here had that yet?

More than 10 remaining at Cleverboxes ebay store now. How did they get stock?

Maybe they paid their distributor +£20 (or more) over the new SRP per unit knowing that they could still make a "killing" on that auction site and still make back the extra they paid. The distributor wins because they made more money, Cleverboxes win because they make EVEN more money and (those that choose to buy from their auction listing, albeit at a nice high price) also win. This of course leaves those that want it at SRP out of luck :(

Well you will always get people out for their own gain at the expense of others..

Hp should have just recalled all stock and sold them via the website in waves tbh. With the one per customer thing on, would have softened a lot of the problems you, I and many others experienced.

The thing is mate...and I know people will hate when I type this...should you buy one at £199 just to ensure you have one and then stumble across a cheap one, whats to say you couldn't just sell your cheap one unopened for £199 on ebay ;)

It's a risky strategy as you may not get a cheap one but you need to factor in, is it worth £199, that's what I'm trying to decide right now.

I haven't read of others purchasing at full price from that store but those that did so from Argos and Tesco received calls this week confirming a refund of the difference.
