HRT Fail

One of my mates used to for for Extract and did a year with these guys, some of the stuff he was telling me was ridiculous, pro karting teams are more professional
 
The worst thing is that they're actually beating Marussia in the standings. Not by much admittedly, but it'll net them an extra couple of million $ at the end of the year.
 
its a miracle HRT can even afford to still be an F1 team, especially after 3 years of abysmal performances


i honestly would mind but its almost guaranteed than any driver who races for them wont ever get a chance with another f1 team.
 
Why would you say that? Ricciardo and Bruno Senna have both got drives elsewhere. Admittedly anyone in an HRT isn't going to be lighting up the times, but if you perform consistently and beat your team mate then you'll always get noticed.

PDLR has done his career no harm at all this year, whereas Karthikeyan has underlined how completely inept he was the first time.
 
Marussia had some promise initially, but have faded unfortunately. I think next season will be important for them both (and Caterham of course).
 
Talking about Caterham, anyone think Kovi is getting fed up? Hence him hinting he reckons he has winning performance if he had a better car? I think he would change, get rid on crap Senna at Williams and get Kovi in there.

So did Chandhok, who went to Good Lotus for a year as reserve driver and has also taken 6th at the Le Mans 24 Hours this year. Only Sakon Yamamoto has left HRT and not got a drive in F1 afterwards.

As to why he would say it: I believe the phrase is "lolarknor"?

Heikki at Williams is a good shout actually...

It depends on how much money he could bring to the team. Williams are definitely not against employing a driver with a bigger cheque over one with more skill.

Really is a shame. Both there drivers are only there because of the checkbook they bring.

Senna really is useless though. I am sure I read he didn't even do go karts when he was younger and was in his later teens when he decided he wanted to be a F1 driver.

He'll never be a champion nore a top driver.

He started karting at a young age, along with the rest of the drivers of his generation, but when Ayrton was killed his family stopped Bruno racing. He was about 10 or so IIRC. He then did no racing at all for several years before getting back into it in F3/junior formulae. Wiki will give you the full details.

I don't think he's that bad a driver personally. If he didn't have the Senna name he wouldn't be judged so harshly. Yes he's being outscored by Loldonado, but that's because of that flukey win in Barcelona. Senna has had 5 points finishes to Loldonados 2.

I agree with that. He's in the mould of Massa/Barrichello - the consistent performer who is the support driver of the team.
 
O, that is actually a shame then. Maybe if he picked up that extra experiance he would be up there with the top drivers.

Bet deep down he secretly hates his family for pulling him out of the go-karts.

Never the less I still believe Heikki deserves his seat. Bet Petrov would do a good job aswell at Williams, he has a big oil company behind him doesn't he?

Senna down to Caterham and Monkey boy kicked out of the sport and get Heikki and Petrov in the Williams for next year. Sure Petrov is on par with Maldonaro for driving skill.

senna should be getting spanked hard but loldonado has threw away so many points finishes it doesnt make it look that way.

senna is only at a team because he brings money , ricciardo hasnt really impressed me either.

i wish there was a wage cap on f1 drivers so that talent would shine through but i guess that would be virtually impossible to manage with all the sponsor money some drivers bring..

props to HRT for keeping it going and good luck to them for the future, but with the way F1 is now it must be harder than ever for a new team to move forward , in the past you would get races where half the cars on the grid wouldnt finish and the little guys could collect some decent points and a nice bit of funding for the next season
 
I think Senna needs more time before deciding on him yet. Maldonado has already proved what a **** he is and expect (hope) the top teams will never seriously consider him.
 
Haven't marussia, been moving factory's, you can't really say anything about marussia this year, that will be next year the funding will kick in properly.


Said it before said it again, I don't want to see any of these teams go. FIa won't replace them as we have seen by no 4th new team. You just have to hope that as they progress they get brought out by someone half decent or get funding and the facilities in place.
 
I am pretty sure that it's HRT moving factories, and effectively they are a completely different team to last year, with a different funding structure. PDLR has defiantly done pretty well considering the car the car is effectively a 2011 car made to fit around the 2012 regs.

Not a fan of karthekayian (can't even spell his name) but he does bring money that the team needs. I do have the feeling that if these guys had the same funding and equipment as marussia then they would be ahead by on performance not just luck.
