**HTC HD2 Thread**

Is that not on a 24 month contract?

Janesy it is on a 24month contract unfortunately but that seems to be the way of the mobile world these days!

So I wandered into my local vodafone store today and thought I would have a look! they had no dummy phone out but a guy I was dealing with pulled one from the back, handsets had just come in this morning!

So we set it up to allow me to have a quick go, turns out its fantastic! really responsive, touch typing is indeed a joy and the new sense interface is very familiar if you've had a touch diamond!

The build quality of the phone is totally solid and the screen is well...bloomin astounding! the phone is roughly the same size as the iphone and so responsive things are easy!

I would suggest checking out the size as it is massive but very very thin :)

The box contains a protective pouch and a 2gb memory card!

I am in the process of striking a deal with the store to match online! they are going to bring down the cost of the insurance to the standard price of 6.99 and if I do the deal instore they will match the cashback available and put the account in credit to cover the first 2 months of the deal!

After my quick play with the phone I can confirm its just whatt I want but il have to listen to what orange say in the meantime! Tho hopefully I will be getting this by the weeks end!

Hope that helps anyone out! :)

I currently have an HTC Hero and I am thinking of getting one of this...

The Hero is a brilliant phone however it lacks:
1) Power (although with Modacos custom rom its still slow at times)
2) Browsing in 3g is slow, and I think its simply because the reder processing

The main thing is the lack of an app store, but to be honest all the apps i need it comes with minus the turn by turn sat nav.

P.S all thoughs going for 18/24 month contacts are made.

I'd rather pay £50/12months so I can upgrade again sooner.

I received mine today in the post and WOW! This thing is amazing. It's big to look at, but doesn't feel too big when you use it.

The speed is incredible. As is the build quality. The screen is amazing also.

Just in general, a beautiful device.

Hmm... Xperia X10 or HD2.... Well apparently the HD2 isn't coming to Orange, so that may be a primary issue, hopefully the X10 will. Secondly, despite HTC's superb efforts to disguise WM 6.5, it's still just a shell surely... Hmm...

Great, thanks for the info!

Inane ramblings aside - can someone post pics of the T-Mobile HD2 please!

Thanks!

The second we get this in stock, I'm slapping my 30% employee discount on it and selling my Touch Pro2 :D

This might finally drag me away from my Tytn II...

I'll hang on for a few days worth of feedback from you chaps first though.

just had an email from Vodafone saying that due to high demand they wont have any stock in until early december :'(

If I went too a store that had one would I be able to get it from them ? and they cancel my online order ?
