**HTC HD2 Thread**

Has any of you HD2 users owned a Hero before that? How would you compare Android and WinMo?Would you go back to your Hero?I am leaning towards the HD2,I have used it for a few minutes and I am impressed, but since I haven't used a Hero and the high pricing of the HD2 holds me back,I am still not sure which phone to get.

vodafone definetly stopped doing the hd2

I'm in a similar position, I'm due an upgrade at the end of the month so if they don't have the HD2 available by then, I'm off to a network that does the Hero instead (seeing as that's what I wanted in the first place).

It's not nearly as big as it looks on videos. The size put me off too, but having held the dummy model in the Vodafone store the other day, it feels fine. It's very slim, and it's certainly not cumbersome to hold. Some reviews have said that it can't be used one-handed, but I certainly don't see why that would be the case.

looks like were both leaving voda then and no doubt many other will be too

been in the shop today and the guy who seemed pretty clued up says vodafone canceled there contract with HTC for the HD2 because HTC where not meeting any of the supply demands.

seems ridiculous to me though. if HTC couldnt meet demands then surely vodafone had ques of people waiting for one ? so seems mad to remove it completely like he says they have done. after that he and someone else pretty much just recomended i wait for the iphone... which i dont want

they have literally no top phones at all at the moment.(the best are satio or magic ) instead have loads of there own exclusives which are pretty damn rubbish IMO

Hmmmmmm I'm wondering where this will leave me in terms of my new contract and also support I will recieve from Vodafone themselves, this is quite worrying :(

Ordered this as an upgrade towards the end of November and have been waiting ever since. Vodafone phoned me about 20 mins ago and said it should be arriving Monday as they've just taken stock of 300 handsets. I've had confirmation via text and am waiting for the shipment confirmation to arrive sometime later today.

Fingers crossed :)

Just looked on my order with MPD, and they must have got stock in today as its on its way :D

Still looking for a good silicone case if anyone knows of one, looked on ebay but can't really see anything great.

i love the blatant lies on the forum from vodafone staff. and love the way any negative thread dissapears

maybe the ceo and directors should take a look around there own forum . you would expect them to listen to the customers but they obviously dont...

thing is i signed up with vodafone because they used to offer the best phones . but it seems now they offer nothing and have everything riding on the iphone which s quickly becoming outdated...

am i right thinking i can pay off my last few months and they have to give me a pac code ? i will make what it costs to pay it off back when i use quidco to start a new contract elsewhere anyway.

Yeha thats what Orange had to do with me but I dont know what I've walked into with Vodafone :S

HTC are saying that the issue with Vodafone Europe has been resolved however....

Recieved a reply from HTC about the problems :D Copied Russ' message and recieved this back....

Hello
The items you have told us about are being worked on by our developers as we speak. I can add more to that but i would expect those items to be solved very soon.
Please keep an eye on the HTC support site for updates.

regards
Gary.

Good to know they're working on it however :D

It's blatantly a move they've done because of the oh-so-boring iPhone being released soon. They (or Apple) are probably concerned by all the positive attention it's getting.

Ah well, I'll get them to drop my price plan down to something cheap, then I'll request my PAC, pay off the last couple of months and be done with them.

Ya think? :p To quote that thread...

There's been a great deal of interest since we made the HTC HD2 available to buy... Given the wide and expanding range of smartphones available to Vodafone customers, including the iPhone in early 2010, we're confident that we continue to offer...

I'm not sure you could get more obvious if you tried.

is it possible to drop price plans like that ?

im just about to enter my 15th or 16th month of a 35quid per month one and need to work out the best way of cutting costs and paying it off so i can get the HD2 elsewhere ! never left a contract like this before

When I did it a few years back, I phoned them up and said I wasn't using all the minutes/texts I was being offered, so they dropped me down to a cheaper one.

This time, I'll let them do all that, and then say "One more thing...PAC please!". :D

well i emailed them about dropping my plan to the next level down... they want me to go from 600 minutes + unlimited texts + unlimited internet

to 500 mins + 100 texts + vodafone passport ( wtf ? ive never used my phone abroad in my life...) for a whole saving of £4.00

they really have gone to pot :p:confused: so what other network offers the HD2 or will be offering it soon ?
