HTC Hero, coming July on Orange and T-Mobile, makes me want!

Anyone got MMS working on this for T-Mobile?

I just get the message with a link to login too - had my O2 sim in while I was waiting for the number to port and that worked fine.

Ring 150 from T-Mobile Sim and the women never heard of the G2 or Hero to send me the settings (she didn't really know anything!)

Anyone know how to set it up?
 
Just tell her its a G2. It should work ok.

Hmm they don't have G1 or G2 there. Try setting them manually:

Access Point Name: general.t-mobile.uk
Username: user
Password: one2one
Authentication: Normal
Data bearer: GPRS
Gateway IP (proxy) address: 149.254.211.10 (also 149.254.201.135)
Session mode: Permanent
MMS Message (Relay) Server URL: http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002/

I never got it to work (for incoming MMS's) on my touch diamond, even tho they sell the same phone.

Just found where the settings are and they all look in there anyway, under APN

it has T-Mobile Internet twice with a toggle to use either (both look identical) then Picture Messaging - no toggle to select this one, but has the MMS settings in anyway?
 
This is the problem I have on my phone. The settings are in there (confirmed by sending an MMS from the phone) but i always only receive that SMS saying go to pmcollect.

I wonder if you need to change your 'phone type' in your online account settings in 'my t-mobile'

If you get it working let me know!

EDIT: Oh... did a quick google... So you need to setup everything, then send 1 MMS to get it to work.

Yea well i went to the site to collect and it listed the message but unless I am being dumb... didn't display the picture lol

Sent one but person said it was corrupt not sure if its coincidence or not - I have tried those settings above to (well it's what was already there!) :(

Got it working, i did add the http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002 in both Server and MMSC fields though

yeah awesome phone but well low screen res these days, why not update the touch HD screen to use multi touch??, oh well looks like i'll be keeping my touch hd for a while and have to wait for hero2 or something, shame cos i was really looking forward to an android phone this time around that is unless Microsoft pull something out of the bag with windows mobile 7 (fingers crossed)
 
hello im having a few problems with the mail.

ive set up my aol email account and when i refresh it manually to see if theres any new mail i get the message "no mail".

when i try to login to my google email account i get the message "cant establish a reliable data connection to the server".

any help here please?
 
I can't work out how to select a load of emails in the Mail app Inbox, then mark them as read? I'm sure I've tried everything, is it not possible to do this?... if so it's hella annoying.

Just set up like this and it's much more responsive. Shame I can't have a second panel without having to use TouchFlo :(

e: Just realised I need to be on the next panel and then select add :p

Here's what to do...

Go to Settings - Applications - Manage Applications.

Scroll down to 'TouchFLO' and hit 'clear defaults'

Obviously this will clear the default action of taking you to the TouchFLO or Rosie UI home.

When you have done this every time you press the home button you will have a choice. Home or TouchFLO.

but that wouldn't be with a fre phone and would be 24months, looking on their site its ~£100 on 24month and ~£150 on 18month for the ~£30/month. directly through orange from their store its free on the ~£40/month 24month contract(~£35/month 24months online), so I suggest you go back and have a closer look at that offer.

I'm on racoon 30 and having asked to cancel my contract early due to the minimum charge increase on my accoun on the orange website they've reset it as if I've eligable for upgrade, I had a look see what the hero would cost me if I stuck with racoon 30 and it said ~£245 which is £100 more than for new customers. it'd be cheaper for me to go with the o2 12month sim only with the £100 cash back offer and get the hero sim free.
 
just rang orange retentions as they had sent me a letter for my old contract(the one i was cancelling to get the n97) asking about the hero.
The guy lied out his **** to me sayin the hero was the most expensive phone on the market and that it cost more than the iphone hence why I couldnt get it for free.
I had him out on this and called him a lying **** and hungup, n97 is here to stay it would seem. Orange, why did i even bother.
