Technically the 'warranty' is with the manufacturer, but you don't have to claim under 'warranty' for faults, you can claim under the Consumer Rights Act.

According to Which.co.uk:
"Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act are against the retailer – the company that sold you the product – not the manufacturer, and so you must take any claim to the retailer. "

A lot more helpful info here

Been playing for 3 - 4 hours per night and most of the weekend since I got mine last week and it's the best £700 I've spent in a long time :)

Only wish I had a bigger room to do the room scale properly. Keep bumping into things.

So why does ocuk say direct with htc?

Because... ocuk cant fix them, so ultimately theu need to send them off to HTC, so their argument is that by sending it straight to HTC you actually save time instead of sending it to ocuk who forward it to HTC taking up an extra couple of days each way

Now, that is fine, but to cover yourself raise an RMA on ocuk first, then when they say send it off to HTC you have proof that the retailer told you to do that. Then if HTC take too long or give you any crap, you can still ask the retailer to step in and failing anything else you can complain to your credit card company.

With oculus taking more than 2 months to try to arrange a replacement and already having had to go the refund route with them, i went with OCUK and a credit card payment knowing that at least if it turned up faulty i coild get it swapped out straight away.
