That's not good news
Yeah, I was a bit surprised how bad it was actually. Admittedly it's the first time I've ever tried a racing game in VR, so I may just not be used to it, but after several flawless days doing standing stuff in the Vive it was a bit of a shock. Definite disconnect between my brain, inner ear and what I was seeing as I physically felt like my actual body was moving forward which was at first but then quickly
Want to try again as it looked genuinely amazing even with LFS's fairly basic GFX, but maybe next time I'll try a car with a full cockpit rather than a formula racer and start off a bit more slowly. Also drink lots of ginger beer first
lol and what about your ears ?
What about them? That's basically how I'm wearing mine now. I see a lot of people on Reddit are criticising him for how he has it going over the tops of his ears, but the problem is with everyone's head shape and eye/ear position being slightly different, there is no golden answer to how to adjust the Vive given the "sweet spot" for the lenses is fairly small. I don't have a problem with the straps sitting over the tops of my ears, I find there is little pressure on my face and the lenses sit in the right place every time now.
TLDR - you adjust any head device to how it feels best for you, not someone else.
