HUB: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer: 40+ GPU Benchmark, 1080p, 1440p & 4K Benchmark

Blimey 44 kills is a lot well done!

Here's the best FPS score I managed at 1080P lowest settings + CAS on the 4090. Would need a 3DVCache chip to get a better score here.

Here's the same test but with recording hit included from video capture.

As said already, graphics is quite a big step up from MW2019, even multiplayer.

Im enjoying using the different guns to unlock attachments. Eg the Icarus lmg and FTAC recon battle rifle. Guns i would have never of used but are quite enjoyable.

I play with settings maxed (no dof or blur) in 3440 x 1440 on an Acer X34 Gsync monitor.

FPS wise I was using a 3080 and getting 70-100 (capped at 97fps) in games. I now have a 3090 Ti and multiplayer is never below 97. Benchmark shows just over a 30% increase in fps compared to the 3080. Of course i would love a 4090, but got the 3090 ti for a a reasonably good price. Im capped at 97fps too, so the extra frames would be wasted (unless i upgraded to 4k / higher Hz screen.

Pictures don’t do it justice. The general game effects on the guns and sound is fantastic. Down to things like ejecting used shotgun shells and reloading new ones.

Some impressive numbers there LtMatt :D

Was watching the framechasers video and he was getting 491 with the 13900k but i am holding off till next year myself as want to see what the 7000 X3D brings to the table ( should be mega going by your result ) and also see what 14th gen has to say :D Currently though plays very well on a 10900k and will hold 240fps at 1440p if not gpu bound on some levels , around 210-220 when bound. mainly play at 4K though where it is a lock 120 fps :D

The game looks stunning to my eyes, i do love the sound of a well placed Headshot

Yeah I saw that, water cooling and 13900K would be fast. Reckon 3DVCache will be very fast in this too just like the 5800X3D.

Just thought I would post this before the 4090 FE arrives in a few hours, so i've got something to compare it too

This was on the Extreme graphics settings, if that affects the Benchmark (Seems strange it doesn't list what mode you are using)

Weird that my 13700k is getting lower CPU scores than @Jay-G25 on a 10900K

Have rerun the benchmarks as since I posted that they have updated the benchmark run to better represent what it's actually getting, seems the 1st version of the benmarks were giving higher readings than it should but seems a lot more realistic now as comparing the score with riva benchmark running ontop gives almost identical scores.
Have run both stock and game stable oc :)

OK - 4090 FE benchmarked at 75% power limit (I forgot to turn it off)

Got similar results to your stock run:

Are you using the Extreme preset?

Stupid question

From screenshots above It looks like MW2 has its own build in fps counter and hardware monitoring? Where is that option?

Not stupid, it's hidden

For the built in FPS counter etc go to , Options ,Interface then Telemetry and will be able to select what you want on or off :)

I ran the Extreme preset and I get the following on the GameRock at stock and then max stable overclock.

Stock Video Recording

Overclocked

Overclocked Video Recording

FPS hit of recording is 3 FPS with 30FPS recording and 6 FPS for 60FPS recording.

Performance cost of recording is very high using Shadowplay compared to using AMDs ReLive recording feature, so these were all captured at 30 FPS.

Whilst I love MW2 and Warzone 2, this has got to be the worst 'benchmark' tool ever!

Running it with the same settings something I get +- ~10fps.
Sometimes it doesnt launch and sent me back to the menu
Sometimes I get a DEV error when lowering settings and launching it. Then retrying it will lauch successfully with no settings changed.

No crashes or dev errors for some time in the actual game though, so all good! (just dont expect this to be a reliable benchmark tool)

I got some dev errors too. Not ran it for at least a month maybe more, but last time I ran it there are were no dev errors. However I will say that my FPS are consistent and change by no more than 1 FPS each time i run it.

I think I only noticed the big jump in FPS a couple of times, it was lower on 1st launch then around the same after that.
The Dev errors only appears when really lowering settings (setting to minimal, 720p)

Now I just play the game in maxed settings and its works fine, apart from the initial plane jump where FPS tanks to single figures after the inital parachute opening and latency goes through the roof to 6000ms or something.
I found setting weapon motion blue from off to on resolves that though, so clearly a number of bugs in the game that are making people thing its their hardware at fault.

I will agree with @Guest2 here and say the benchmark tool is a bit crap and very inconsistent , i have run this same card over the last month numerous times yet get results ranging from 125 fps to 139 fps stock or 137fps to 152fps when overclocked  Every other benchmark result is very consistent and lands where it should from run to run but this game does what it wants it seems  In game it is absolutely perfect and if uncapped will happily get to 170-180 in mp just the benchmark doesn't represent this it seems . I also get the freezing when jumping out the plane in Warzone for about 2 secs although i do have motion blur disabled... still shouldn't do it .
