I've installed a screen protector on my Hudl2 today and I've noticed that it's really reduced the screen sensitivity, down to the point where using the tablet when it's on a table is basically impossible.

Is there a screen protector that doesn't cause this? I'm using one made by ScreenSkin at the moment.

I had exactly the same. Can't remember the brand of screen protector, but I took the view that for the money I'll take the risk and have now removed the screen protector.

Much better now, though it ideally wouldn't have been an issue.

I also removed the screen protector and this has improved things somewhat.

I just feel that the digitiser in general just isn't that sensitive and as I've said, the performance seems to degrade over time.

For this reason I'm now looking at a Nexus 7 2013 or a Nexus 9. Edging towards the Nexus 7 as the Nexus 9 seems to have rubbish buttons and backlight bleed problems.

Got Lollipop last night. It's 5.1 so not t latest version.

Seems a bit more snappy except when installing or updating apps? It slows yup an absolute crawl when doing that.

Just about had it with this tablet. It seems to slow down to a point where it's absolutely useless, with just a few Chrome tabs open, few apps open.

I've ordered a Nexus 7 2013 which hopefully will actually be useful...

I upgraded my Hudl to 5.1 and as I hadn't used it a lot in a while there were quite a few apps had updates (I don't auto update). It took forever for some reason best known to itself. It also has lost the sd card though I have just resoved that. It noticed I removed it even though it said there was not one mounted. It seems to have some lag now. May be worth doing a reset?

Has any had a problem getting the latest (0.12.1) update for Minecraft? It's not showing up on my little boy's Hudl 2 and he's really disappointed.

Going to the Play Store, it's not even showing as an update being available???

New member here . I have a hudl2 . We just got a major update last week . Everything has changed , even the on screen keyboard which has went from black to white ..I don't like it at all ..I have been thinking of rooting the entire tablet ( mainly to get rid of all things Tesco on it ) Is this a difficult job and do I run a risk of bricking it ?

Will a micro usb to hdmi lead work for this? It has a micro hdmi port but haven't got one of those cables?
