not wanting to diss you jacob-k but if you had bein building systems for 7+ years then the advice you where given plus you own kudos you real should not need the help of this forum? (SO REALY AROUND 13?) your style of post gives that way none the less we good OCUK peeps will try to help just be honest.

OK, i have made my mind up, bad cables, dodgy looking PSU, NOT eaven working, im gonna get a refund, this has truly upset me, good money is paid and i get this, after the amount of time my folks spent researching (a lot), thanks for the advice peeps.

Admin please lock this thread.

Good choice mate. Like all have said what you paid for you should have got a 7850 series or 660 at least. The gpu they gave you is way too old. Plus I wouldn't trust that psu , all it takes is a cheap psu to completely destroy your whole system.

For around the same price you paid dave_beast has spec'd you a much much better build. Once you get this sorted your are much better off in the long run.

right, before we all go off collecting ideas i would like to say that until my broken system has been refunded i am not going to look at more computers, i have large amounts of college work to be completed and also family issues to deal with, i never said that i had built computers for 7 years, i said that i have been working with computers for 7 years, however, i do like the long list of conponents for 750, plus water cooling would be good for overclocking.
thanks

ok sorry for the hard reply but yes send that crap back (tell you rents to come to me and ill put on my best bitch slaping glove).

your collage should have the facilitys you need and again sorry for family probs (gets no better with age)

as for water cooling then forget it a good air cooler will be fine, water cooling other than a closed loop system will be £300+ for any kit worth bothering with.

ok, i will look at it today, the engineer is coming out today so if there is a really simple problem with the machine that i have missed then i will hold on instead of getting a new one, besides, i can upgrade it any time i want.

did you boot from windows dvd and do start up repair? seems something like that to me,and thats what that error code means

im just letting things fall into place, if the system has to go back for work then i will get it refunded, then i will look at another system, until then i will be patient (unlike some) and see what happens

They're a company that used to operate on the bay.
They're not very good :p

Send it back for a repair (They'll pick it up) and then request a refund, that way you're not paying it to get it back to them (At least, that's what happened when I bought a PC with them, this was back before I knew anything :p)

You'd be foolish to keep it.
It's a poor system due to the GPU and PSU.

Not cancel the word upgrade indeed but you can definitely cancel some extra £££ in your bank account by having to needlessly upgrade after stubbornly refusing to send back a substandard product. It's just weird why people do this.

Yes, I intimated quite clearly. You're weird on this...or just plain stupid.

the sata controller was in IDE mode when it needed to be in AHCI, keep you posted peeps, as of now i have baught the better graphics card and a 850W XFX PSU to power this machine, i will be doing major ajustments to the case for cable managment and also i WILL be keeping the machine, becouse it is a decent chip that with the right cooling can be overclocked to around 5.00GHZ, thanks for all of the help, i will keep you all up to date on what is going on (in another thread).

Lol you dished out more money to upgrade the psu and gpu when you could have just took it back and purchased a much better system for that price? At the top of my head you probably spent another 250-350 for the new gpu and psu ?

Regarding the CPU you could have got that chip with ocuk systems and oc it to 5ghz anyway!
