Hungarian Grand Prix 2014, Hungaroring Race - 11/19

No, just any genuine F1 ran would want whoever wins a race or indeed the championship to do so on merit, not because their rival(s) are afflicted by bad luck and lose through no fault of their own.

That obviously doesn't include you.

Oh well. As LH said after MSC had his skiing accident - "these things happen for a reason". The reason being he's a whiney little sod and deserves everything he gets.

I don't get how you lot don't see how genuinely closely matched Nico and Lewis are. On sheer pace they're generally <0.1s/lap apart, that's damn close. Even if Lewis didn't have "bad luck" all the time then it'd still be pretty close.

Unbelievable! :( Well that's it then, Rosberg is the WDC. Nothing more to see here..

A bit over dramatic there, but yeah its frustrating watching rosberg not really having to work at or do anything special apart from just doing as expected to be in the position he is.

Unlikely at this track. They don't call it Monaco without the boats for nothing. It's incredibly difficult to pass.

On this track, unless it rains, that is very unlikely.

I think he'll do it. That Merc is stupendously good. Once he gets up to the RB's and Williams he might have more of a problem, but if he goes into attack mode then he could well do it. I still predict a podium.

Properly gutted, in 2 senses of the word :(

Got to hope for a Rosberg incident of some kind plus a decent points finish, I doubt a repeat of last week is on given the track.

No they are not close Lewis is far superior to nico...

I'd rather see the championship decided by a closely matched fight on the track rather than reliably issues though, as I'm sure would most fans. At the moment we're being denied the excitement.

Exactly! I see full well how close they are which is why Lewis' run of bad luck risks robbing us of a genuinely fair and thrilling title battle. I support Lewis because he's British but have nothing against Rosberg. If Nico were to beat him to the title in a fair fight then great, good on him. The problem is that it's not a fair fight when Lewis keeps having all these issues through no fault of his own. Screwing up qualifying like he did at Silverstone is fair enough as that was totally his fault, but ending up way down the grid because his brakes fail or his car catches fire in qualifying isn't.

I wonder how many people here cheered when Nico retired at Silverstone..

HAHAHAHAH DNF
Yay karma strikes at last for Rosberg!
Excellent news.
HAHAHAHAHA FU Rosberg.
Hopefully Rosberg gets no points.
yes hes out rossie is out yes yes yes yes
This is excellent!
Yup, we are still owed another DNF.

Are you sure about that?

Well, that's F1. Unfortunately, these things happen. Titles aren't solely won on driver skill and never will be, luck plays a part in everything in life.
