One thing that might make F1 better is to reduce the time it takes to do a pitstop.

You might get this happening more often.

I think it would take too much work(Time and money) with either moving pitlanes, adjusting track layouts etc if you wanted to try and get a more uniform 20 seconds or whatever.

Hows that possible though? change tires whilst the car is doing 200mph+ down the pit straight, put everyone except the guys in the pit lane on VSC?

I would suggest making pitstops close to free.

Its possible, but would probably just be easier to have sprint races and not have pitstops. I mean you could 'just' get the pit exit to rejoin the track nullifying the pitstop but it wouldn't be cheap. Especially if stuff is in the way of the new pit exit.
