I love that on some of the webcams showing the beach, even thought there's mandatory evacuation orders in place...

"Weather's ok. let's go to the beach!"

Heard on the radio that the forward motion of Dorian is slowing and as a result it may spend as much as 30 hours over the Bahamas.

If that's the case this may be more catastrophic than Katrina.

Was fascinated by this picture from the eye of Dorian by a National Hurricane Center storm chaser. It's known as the stadium effect and only happens in really strong storms.
