Lol..I love how they market this kind of stuff....it doesn't work.

I have the current HyperX, so they are nice, but I don't like the move to USB.

Depends on the game. In MW2 with sitrep pro (which made enemy footsteps 4x louder) and a bit of map knowledge about the floor surfaces and the noise they made it was quite easy to know where people were. But I suppose any headset would do the job in that example.

I was also worried about the move to USB but the accessories just shows an external USB soundcard. The headset itself still uses a dedicated 3.5mm jack.

it's not a move to usb it's an additional option I'd be more interested in the memory foam the usb option just means you don't have to buy a soundcard straight away.

USB soundcards are improving I haven't tested this one but i will gladly share my experiences when I get my hands on one.

I don't use virual surround at all anymore and mainly game on my DAC I have no problem hearing things in fact my problem is often hearing too much.

The usb sound card should be considered as an add on. Can easily bypass it with a £2 adapter.

I like the look of the headset, but not sure if it sounds any good.

i doubt it need an adapter I'd be surprised if the original cable isn't included will have to ask.

its not a move to USB really. its an addon, and this headset is going to be ran alongside the older Hyper X Cloud meaning people who dont need the extra stuff can just buy the original one.

which is our best selling headset anyway.

You don't have to use the USB as said though, it's just an adapter and 3.5mm can be used instead iirc

I guess there is the advantage if the usb adapter isn't pants you could reuse it when you get your next pair of headphones.

They should do a yellow version!

Its got a USB DAC. Decent for people with crappy onboard sound.

As mentioned, the cloud 1 is still available so buy that if you dont want the extra stuff.

Looks good. Reading reviews it appears only the mic has changed having a greater range seeing as I don't hear myself who cares :D.

I'm just at a loss whether this usb would be better than my x79 rampage extreme onboard sound or even if I'd even notice the difference.

That would be the deciding factor in which version to buy. Anyone give me some pointers please? :).

That guy in the pic who's "winning" looks more like he's putting an imaginary schlong in his mouth. Or is it just me?
