Hypothetical question - Should the forum be shutdown at night?

Some hosting platforms charge per CPU cycles, Ram and network usage and so on.

UK in dire straits just now. Better just turn off the whole internet at night to save a few bob. Might be worth getting BT to physically disconnect households. It's the only way to be safe.
