Following this one closely. I've been on the fence in regard to buying another LCD for close to 2 years now. This 19" CRT has done me ok during that time but i've been looking for an LCD for my XBOX360 for a while now and this seems to be the ticket.

If anyone can take a few pictures of the backlight leakage, or lack of, i'd very much appreciate.

I've just set this monitor up and it kicks my old 19" CRT in just about every regard. I'm really impressed so far. I'll let you know once I've had a chance to play some games on it how it fairs.

Very impressed so far.

Any chance of that picture or even a few comments on how much backlight leakage there is? ;) Everytime i look at the screen i want to order but i can't ....not yet!

I'd supply photos if I could except I don't have a camera and I left my USB phone cable at home :(. Sorry about that, but looking at the screen in a dark room with a solid light gray background looks good. No bleed that I can see, colours also look reasonably good.

Good to hear :D

What pictures you after specifically?

A picture of the screen displaying a black background (with the lights in the room turned off) That way any bad backlight leakage will become apparent. Some screens are worse than others but if it's not too bad then i'm ordering one asap.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to take a few snaps.

Had to knock the exposure compensation down on the camera so you could see the bleed. It's unnoticeable when exposed normally. Pretty good TBH.

Erm....correct me if I have got this wrong, but is this not showing backlight bleed [circled in RED]?

You can even see it very prominntly in the second pic, which looks a lit room ??

Its worse than my 2232BW which was very noticable in games.

You're not wrong, but compared to several other modern TN monitors i've used the bleed is barely noticeable.

As i mentioned in my previous post i had to compensate the exposure on my camera to even show the bleed. It's very uniform in normal use and only when the screen is totally black can you begin to detect it.

Nice one for posting the pics, i'm getting one of these at crimbo, probably the PVA, but meh, pics are cool anyhoo.:)

Liam
No probs and thanks. :)

I went with the TN for the panel speed. It's the best of its kind i've seen but obviously can't compare to PVA and IPS in terms of viewing angles and colour rendition.

They're nicely spec'd for the money too. :)

Fingers crossed the PVA will be more to your taste Simon. You got your A71 watercooled yet?

I'm gonna try and squeeze a 120.3 in the top of the case.
