I bought a steering wheel, now I need some games

I bought a G29 steering wheel, pedals and H shifter for a good price. I have a slight teething issue that the vice grips on the base of the steering wheel can't open big enough to get around my normal IKEA desk, but other than that, it is great fun! I only have assetto corsa and Project Cars at the moment. Should I buy PC2? or Forza 7? What other games will be good?

PC2 is so much better and more accessible than the first game - I have both and love PC2

On my G27 steering wheel you can remove the plastic blocks from the bottom of the G clamp thereby enabling it to fit on thicker desks

PC2 is great, so much better than 1. Forza 7 is very arcade like, best played with a controller, good game though.

Dirt rally is amazing watch any mods you install though as may get you banned check first.it is the best rally game ever made.once you get your settings dialed in.

WRC 7 is a very good rally game.same again you will have to practice and get it right.really good game.

assetto corsa is cheap at moment great game cheap dlc.they hinting assetto corsa 2 is in 2018 ! :cool:

Older but Grid Autosport is good.
Assetto Corsa an option, more of a simulator.

Euro Truck Simulator 2. Get it while it's on offer (Steam sale finishes tomorrow). It may sound boring driving a truck around but you will soon be hooked.

defo get dirt rally, one of the best games to play with a wheel, but I do advise getting the ffb mod somebody posted above, makes a massive difference.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll probably give PC2 a look and see if any of the AC DLC sounds appealing (particularly the Nurburgring!) I already have Dirt Rally so I'll reinstall that!

Race track sims are nice and all, but personally I enjoy open world driving lot more, so I will recommend Forza Horizon 3 and Crew Wild Run, both of which support wheel and are awesome.

its the same on the G29 as well I had exactly the same problem.

the little black blocks remove from the grips. they are on quite firm so require a little persuasion

I removed the blocks last night (after googling to check they do actually come off) so it fits nicely on my desk now. I might end up making a separate set-up for it as it is a bit annoying having a steering wheel in the way. Maybe get a long HDMI and one of my second screens on a low table or something...

I recommend Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit as great fun with a wheel.

Also and surprisingly so I have had great fun with Dirt Showdown which can normally be had for pennies as well
