To be fair, in Scooby Doo it is never a ghost and somebody just somebody dressed up. I'm waiting for OP to discover what he thinks is a ghost but actually the local engineer who got made redundant.
OP, you say you live in Blackpool? Is it purely coincidental that a ghost hunter ends up living in a ghost town?
This is just a wild stab in the dark but, you were down the boozer with your mate when the conversation turned to locations for buying property. Your pal suggests you should stay away from Blackpool due to it being a ghost town. Well, that was like a red rag to a bull. You thought to yourself "I'm going to move to Blackpool and then buy me a thermal camera".

I say crack on mate, we are all entitled to our beliefs, just please don't put yourself right out of pocket doing so. quite disappointing to read some of the insulting posts in this thread.
Why would ghosts give off any kind of heat or cold in the first place, I know people say the temperature is meant to drop when one is supposedly around.
Doesn't mean to say that it would either be hot or cold, if anything if they did exist there would probably be no temperature from them.

Well if they're not living why would there be a temperature one way or the other? I'm not sure why ghost hunters automatically jumped on the thermal camera bandwagon, just seems they're assuming a ghost will show up as cold because of the supposed drop in room temperature associated with them.
Either that or they have to have something at least a bit flashy to show they're professionals

Other than that I agree with you. It's still an interesting point of topic for me though as I try not to rule any possibility out.
