Short term solution to daytime overheating. Its just an air cooler not a conditioner, you have to fill the back with water and drop in two freezer blocks - like the ones you put in a cool box. A...s decent enough for the money

It's 3.27am so it must be dumb question time - is there a way you can set boinc do only do gpu tasks and not use the cpu at all? :confused::)

Try changing the value shown above to 00.25 (per gpu), depending on the GPU's installed it should be OK if not try 00.35.

As a fail safe just use one core, 25.00%

On a quad core cpu 100% means use 4 cores, 50% 2 cores etc.

On an i7 100% means 8 cores, 25% is 2 cores.............

GPU's must have some CPU time to be able to function, data transfer to disks etc.

Ahh thank you Mr Halz Sah much appreciated, just while i was doing some work i thought it might be an idea to free up the proc to avoid errors and the like....:)
