I CANT DECIDE

A GTX 460 is cheaper that a 5850 and when OC beats it,thats my understanding anyway.

But a 5850 is still a very good buy you cant go wrong with either card tbh

A 5850 is a good amount faster than GTX460, as you overclock both the gap widens to a point that they are in different league's.

+1

Always the risk of posting an "I can't decide" post. You will get a few unbiased posts, but on the whole will get the fanboys posting everywhere. Nvidia fanboys have seemed a lot worse lately for some reason.

Here we go with the Fanboy thing again, If i use your logic you are an ATI fanboy, The thing is, ATI users had it good for a while as there was no Nvidia card, that was then followed by the release @ the high prices, so the market is still slow for Nvidia. All of a sudden the prices tumble in tandem with the arrival of the 460 and people start buying Nvidia cards again and the market picks up for Nvidia.

People start posting on here and all of a sudden the ATI users seem to start taking the hump which the ardent Nvidia people jump on and we get the fabled term fanboy apearing more and more as people start trying to jusify there purchases.

Thats how i see it anyway :)

Where is this information from, got a link mate ?

From what Ive seen. I'm a little cautious about posting numbers as I have in the past just had people continuously tell me I'm wrong or down right insult me.

I'm also cautious about a lot of the review sites mythology. Techpowerup have been one of the site's to show numbers closest to what Ive seen, so here's is a link.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_GTX_460_1_GB/5.html

Take with a much or as little salt as needed.

No need to take offence ;). Only making the OP aware that he/she is unlikely to receive an unbiased response. The best thing anyone can do is read through all the reviews and make up their own mind - or post in the general hardware section where the fanboys are fewer.

^^ I could understand someone being labeled a fanboy who blindly posts go " insert Nvida/ATI type card here " and provides no proof as to why the person should opt for that card, as you can see by my posts I alway back my views up with links to benchmarks and such. What's moronic is you have the ATI fanboys labeling the Nvidia owners fanboys and visa versa lol.

If you can get a 5850 for less than £200 quid then go for it. Otherwise stick with the GTX460. It's swings and roundabouts at the moment because the GTX460s are slowly decreasing in price.

One more thing, please for the love of god do not base your buying decision on whether it has Physx or not. I've had my GTS250 in here for ages on hybrid physx, trying out various titles, and have come to the conclusion that slightly more realistically waving flags are not something to base a purchase on.

You do such good PR work for Nvidia Raven sometimes i have to wonder if you're actually being paid to talk like that lol.
