I had a visit from the police tonight ...

Sounds like he fancies you and is frustrated. If he's crazy then a restraining order would be next if the police see nothing wrong.

You need to let him understand your rights to exist without this crap.

Sounds to me he is just a middle-aged bender who came out not long ago and wants the world to bow down to his gayness. There used to be a bloke I worked with like that and he a very dislikeable person.

Just tell them your gay too.

For hilarity sake, do this.
When they ask, say you are also gay, you are not interested in him, you rejected his advances when he stayed with you over Christmas, and you now don't speak.
Him involving the police on grounds of harrassment is simply him being fickle and trying to get back at you for spurning his advances.
Ask them to check if he stayed with you, if you used to lend him money, etc etc. Tell them your only mistake was mentioning him on facebook (btw why is he on your facebook and able to see your info? bewilders me why people keep tools they don't know/like on their facebook)

Tell them you are gay and that he has been making highly inappropriate comments to you and will not stop.

Hehehehehe .... That's what others in the college have been saying to me too:D I called the police today and the PC who left the note say's that he'll just be coming round for a chat and that I shouldn't worry myself about it. I think I'll be speaking to the college staff about his behaviour on Monday about this and let them know that it's completely out of order. I'll also be finding out what my rights are about this and turn the table on him to see how he likes it.

Thanks to everyone for making me see the lighter side of this as it was really starting to worry me ...... I love you guys (well, not in that way :D)

Al :D

Unless the police charge you with something, which sounds like they can't and won't. I'd file a complaint against the complainant (don't say who you think it is, just ask them to tell you who filed the complaint, and say you want to complain about them) with the college for harassment due to unfound accusations and possibly defamation of character as well.

If that doesn't work, set fire to his flat.

Cool, I never thought about that ;) Cheers Mucky_Pup :D

You don't have to go anywhere. Ignore the slip, if they think you've done something let them arrest you.

All you will do by going voluntarily is talk and get in trouble. The police don't care about sorting it out, they want an arrest.

Just update your facebook after you'v spoken to the police "police just left, gunna give fatboy the evils all week long" or something like that, be really immature if everyone knows whats happened etc :)

I do apologise for all the childish comments by the Sun readers above.

Time to go on the offensive. When at the Police Station, lodge a formal complaint against him on the grounds that you consider his actions to be a form of stalking.

remember racism beats gayism.

Because of your 'history' I think you should explain to them this isn't random and he has obviously decided for whatever reason he doesn't like you. And then just stay away from him. If he attempts to communicate go straight to the police.

try not to use it on here though, its a tad frowned upon now!

Really? This forum was the first and only place where I came across this phrase, and I usually see it at least once or twice per page of each thread.

OP, go on the counter-offensive, complain of harassment and stalking. They're not likely to side with the creepy 40 year-old guy. Oh, and LOCK DOWN YOUR FACEBOOK PROFILE FFS!!
