I hate Call of Duty 4

I enjoyed the SP game, but do agree its a dirty rotten cheat at times with pinpoint grenades, the thing that bothered me the most was the sniper missions, on the way to the hit you could hide 2inches away from the enemy but when it came to the final part at the big wheel they could grenade you from 100 feet away LOL, that was as far as I got on veteran before wanting to smash the game up also :D

gah!

if a grenade is close to you a huge massive big indicator appears on the center of the screen explicitly saying (for 360) "press RB to throw back" - i mean what more do you want?

Really don't see why people moan about this.

LOL yes cause you can thrown back 5 nades all at once right  nevermind the AI having an unlimited supply of them and pin point accuracy.

Well getting 5 at once means is unlucky and means you've staying in the same place for too long. As a rule of thumb when playing SP, if more than one grenade appears near you move fast.

Saying that, id say its perfectly possible to throw 3 max back.

I'm confused,

In the 3 short months it's been out you've bought it once then sold it then bought it again?

All the while also owning the PC version?

Oh and personally I think the games awesome (the PC version that is, I cant play FPS's on consoles)

Yeah. I have the PC version for MP and I had the 360 version for SP.

I really didn't find the grenades that much of a problem during the single player campaign, maybe on one or two occasions but not enough to make me stop playing it.

Lol. I didn't really have too many problems with it on Veteran but Mile High Club...

4 hours I've put in, I've got to the end corridor (just turn and enter last room) 6 or so times but I always run out of time.
Why they didn't put one little checkpoint in at the stairs, or make it 1min 10 or something I don't know but with aching hands and absolute hatred for the game now (I know, I know) I'm giving in.

I don't know why I do it either, points? because I know I'll get it eventually? the challenge? Answers on a post card.

Hear, hear. I guess I'm in that 1% :)

Ton of patience. There is no skill involved. Just luck and timing.

Wouldn't agree with that fully. The mile high club definately take a bit of skill, as does NFITWR. There are a fair few other bits where you need to be hot on too

Found the only way to do it was to keep moving forward E.g.

- in the first room after you've thrown a FB keep moving forward, killing anyone directly in your path (e.g. no everyone) and run into the next room behind the brown chairs. Throw a FB into the middle o fthe room and immediately run to the little wooden wall thing and go fully prone.
- Whilst your reloading your allies will have cleared the room for you and you can easily be at the stairs with 36 or 37 seconds on the clock - i got this first floor down perfectly as i had loads of tries.
- For the bit at the top of the stairs, throw one FB into the room and run up to the thin wooden wall and go prone - your allies will clear most enemies here.
- I found doing those two things left me with enough time for the final part (after throwing a FB dont sprint just walk forward killing enemies as needed)

Only plus the 360 has over the PC version is that I can sit on a comfy sofa playing on a 50" LCD. Other than that the PC version requires more skill and gives me much more freedom and less chance of getting spammed grenaded to death.
