I hate CityLink

Seems to be down to the individual drivers unfortunately. I've always had a good experience with them at my local depot.

Finally ordered some Core 2 Duo bits yesterday at about 2:30pm and chose Next Day delivery but I missed the cut-off as I did not get a dispatch confirmation. Phoned OcUK this morning and asked them to change to Saturday delivery and the guy I was talking to just managed to do it in time as it was about to be sent for Tuesday I guess.

Have to say though, CityLink's online tracking is much more informative and up to date than other couriers I have used.

i ordered mine at 8ish in the morning today for tomorrow, all my items were in stock but no confrmation when i came back at 5pm, £75.00 for sat del and no info as to why i aint getting it tomorrow

city link DO dilliver on saturdays, OcUK don't offer that option tho.

Citylink in London are really crap and that is why OCUK lose a lot of business as they still use them many people hate Citylink's service.

My local depot is so crap that they do not bother knocking or anything just drive away and do not even leave a card (which they are supposed to write your door colour on to prove they did actually knock).

As my local depot is over 7 miles away (and I live in central london!) it is hard to ever get anything from then.

I posted this earlier today and for some reason it was closed with no explanation :confused:

"I ordrered a nice new shiny X1900XT for delivery today from OcUK. I even got someone to wait in for delivery. Got back home to find there's been no delivery, so i check with the online order status and it says "There was an attempted delivery and i was Carded" Utter rubbish!!!

There was someone there all day and i was not carded There excuse "the driver must have gone to the wrong address"

Now this isn't the first time it's happend or second and i'm sick of it. I now have to keep my fingers crossed for a delivery tomorrow or i'll have to get someone to sit in on tuesday for it as the driver as taken it home on his van

Please for the love of god use a different delivery company OcUK."

I really can't understand why OcUK would close my thread :confused:

I think i'm gonna have to look for another vendor though as i'm sick of City Link, Shame really as i do like buying my stuff from here

Honestly though i think they're tons better than Lynx which ocuk used to use, had a lot of issues with em.

Hah, that's not the worst of City Link at all.

All they take down when they deliver/try and deliver an item is the colour of the door.

Once from an order from overclockers they tried to deliver an item but apparently we weren't in (we were when they tried to deliver). According to them they left a ticket and everything was perfectly fine because they left a ticket at a house with a brown door... that's the only detail they took of the house they tried to deliver it to... brown door.

There are 2 houses up the road with brown doors and another house down the road with a brown door... pretty much every standard door is brown!

The reason why your thread was closed is that the forum isn't the place to criticise OcUK if you have a complaint contact OcUK directly via the website.

This thread was discussing City Link NOT OcUK but there begining to feature in posts. However this thread will get closed shortly no doubt as it isn't relevant to General Hardware.

happened to me around a year ago, citylink ****** me off.

They told me they would deliver it before 12 tomorrow because i gave them a mouthfull over the phone i think. You could try it!

I don't really have the option of picking the parcel up because the driver as taken it home on his van :rolleyes:

If i don't get it tomorrow i'm gonna have to wait to pick it up Tuesday
