Have to read the MOST FEMINIST book in the world for English course at school.. Called Woman at Point Zero by Nawal El Saadawi.

KILL ME NOW

Feminism's fine, it's when feminists complain about not having doors opened for them, not getting flowers randomly or not getting other generous female-orientated traditions that bugs me.

Why not read it and enjoy it? After all, reading only things with which you agree is rather boring and not very conducive to learning! Read it, then decide your opinions, and if necessary develop your own cogent arguments against it. Surely much more interesting that way regardless of the content? :)

Oh, and since we're in GD: "So, you want equal rights?" *POW* "Here's a broken nose for annoying me. Now go and cook me something nice."

Ha Ha! Sucker, I used to sleep in my feminism lectures in 1st and 2nd year.... None of the girls like my argument of its pointless so shut up and get back in the kitchen!

Feminism is too vague. It includes a whole lot of utter nonsese as well as some people making sense. As a result I tend to hold the opinion that anything claiming to be feminist is just tat saying "You go girl!". The idea that being pro-women is also pro-equality doesn't seem to sit very well.
