I HATE OS4!!!

Can anyone actually confirm this as I've read mixed responses, some say it does other say that it just affects the way the signal strength is calculated.

Installed it on my iPhone 4 earlier this afternoon, holding the phone the way to lose reception doesn't effect it anymore, well that's how it's been for me.

i found that deleting all but uk language pack, not having multitasking and now backgrounds has made my 3G run like a rocket on 4.0, also turned off spotlight search
the language pack deletion have made a HUGE difference
im happy with 4.0

Hi,

you've obviously used a 3rd party piece of software to do this?

My 3G crashed mid-app because the alarm went off. It was jammed up for 20 minutes with the alarm blaring...the alarm the dog hates and howls at. I actually thought I was going to go insane for a while. And this is with a brand new install, not a restore.

O2 did make a "generous offer" (their words) to allow me to buy my way out of my contract for only £180

Totally agree with others. IOS4 on the 3G is utter pants! My phone that I was so pleased with (from release day) is now sooooooo frustrating with its poor performance. Folders is good, but heck they have totally molested my phone with this upgrade which is now a shadow of its former glory. I too partly suspect this was a purposeful move as surely it must have been tested in advance of release, and if enough people are experiencing these severe slowdowns then it is hard to think they would have missed it.

Not sure what i can do about it though. I don't need an iphone4, I just want to reverse the supposed upgrade they did to my phone which has now left it lifeless in terms of performance and battery too.

Rant over :-)

Because they don't actually care

Just discovered reading this thread that you can get the old iphone recycled. Where have I been! If I got £150 it would definitely help with upgrading to a v4. This 3g is useless - I thought I had improvements but maybe was just imagining it.

Im getting an annoying problem with mine.

When I have like 4 lines of apps open in the multi tasking dock and i just carry on pressing the kill icon my whole iPhone freezes and I have to do a hard reset, and this is on an iPhone 4! :(
