I hate the VXR forums sometimes

lol what a total idiot, moaning because someone posted up his reg number...?! Child in a Corsa, nothing more, used to see them all day long in Stoke, thankfully they now have a rude boy injunction stopping them from congregating!

Well I'm not going to sign up and read it, it'll only wind me up, plus I have better things to do, but I can imagine what it was like.

Rather different to the Jaguar forums I imagine, I found the Ford ST ones to be rather distasteful a lot of the time. The Jag ones couldn't be more different, then again I think the average age is more like late 30s to mid 40s or so and lets just say, generally a 'better' class of person, I guess it really goes to show how different types of cars attract quite different demographics.

However, you do get Americans and sometimes Aussies buying older Jags and putting chrome wheels on them, blacking the windows out and polishing the chrome until it could be used to focus laser beams and then installing massive sound systems and sometimes even hydraulic suspensions ...which disturbs me greatly. But I guess that was bound to happen at some point. Thankfully, in Britain, we don't have a Jag-chaving club/scene so far as I am aware.

Edit: Oh balls I've just noticed the cached thread, now I am going to 'have' to read it (there goes my blood preasure for the morning).

"you was doing too much speed" ...sounds more like he's talking about recreational narcotics :p ...and all they seem to be worried about is his driving license, not the lives of people who could very easily kill. Ruddy scum.

Oh the thread was a lot shorter than I expected, I guess I've gotten used to OcUK length threads, if he had posted that here it'd have been at least 18-20 pages by now :p ...he seems pretty dim really, his complete lack of understanding shining through all the time. It is little wonder he seems to have so much trouble typing simple sentences in correct English, he probably has the mental age of an 8 year old and a writing standard even lower. He's a 1st class bell for sure, but I wonder weather he truly understands that and why.

I think you were very tolerant and quite calm there MrLOL, you made some sound points.

the difference between the way of us approached the same thing is the best illustration

both of us have aftermarket exhausts, that we have shared the sound of, with other users.

Me ? i went to an empty supermarket car park at about 7pm on a sunday to take the video so i didnt annoy my neighbours, or supermarket shoppers.

him ? he went hooning round a 30 limit road doing 70 + in front of a school to do a cool driveby.

Why couldnt he have just driven another 5/10 minutes and found a 70 limit dual carriageway to do it from ?

Because he's a youth. I think I was like that 10 years ago too, then grew up. You have kids don't you mrLOL? They're only young though right? You have all that teenage arrogance to look forward to in them :D

Chances are he will write that little car off he so loves and then he'll have a fat finance agreement to pay off on a car he doesnt own any longer.

i remember all to well how i used to drive :D

thankfully i managed to learn without killing anybody.

I still remember now when i was 17 one of school mates was put on the insurance for his mums landrover freelander. He rolled it doing 60 on a country lane 3 times and wrote it off.

I think he got a bit upset, aw, shame. :D

I assume the thread has been nuked?

Fingers crossed he learns his lesson.

Cheers ghost101 for the Google cache. :)

I tried to race through traffic calming chicanes in a skoda favrit at 70mph. We've all done stupid stuff, we just don't brag about it. This idiot needs a kick up the arse

The only saving grace is that he at least acknowledged the fact he was driving too fast, that's the best you can really hope for.

It's worth commenting that although it's easy to take the high-ground with someone like that, don't kid yourself that experience is some get out of jail free card for speeding where you think it's appropriate.

The classic case is the guy on Pistonheads that was hooning it in a more responsible location, had a minor moment and severly injured a bike rider, he did time for it, and his journal of the entire experience is very sobering indeed.

Unless you never 'hoon' your car, and therefore don't expose yourself to un-necessary extra risk, I do find it odd how you can label one person a **** for clearly acting like one, but then somehow justify your own actions, even if they have a reduced risk, it's not as bad, but it's not good..

That's what happens when you post videos of yourself speeding along with pictures of the car with the number plate visible in your PUBLIC photobucket account. Darwin award for this chap.

Also I am no saint, but this guy is genuinely retarded by posting that video and doing that speed in a residential area. Grade A plank.
