I have a mouse in the kitchen...

I tried to catch mine for about a week with a small bit of cheese in a humane trap. When I tried a bit of chocolate one night I caught it immediately. They seem to love chocolate!

Also, as above... take it far away before releasing it otherwise it will be back.

There's a mouse in mi kitchen what am I gonna do?
There's a mouse in mi kitchen what am I gonna go?
I'm gonna feed that mouse thats what I'm gonna do,
I'm gonna feed that mouse.

A mouse came up through the hole where my power feed comes in under the stairs today! Trapped it under a bucket, threw it outside and killed it while it was stunned.

Filled the hole in pronto!

Like a boss.

Releasing it elsewhere makes it someone else's problem. Kill it and be done with it.

I had an infestation of mice at my first rented house. It didn't really bother me (I quite liked seeing them scurry around), but droppings in the kitchen meant they had to go. I tried non lethal traps, and caught plenty, but it didn't seem to really impact their numbers.

A few weeks later I got a pair of cats (had been planning to for a long time anyway). That did the trick. For the next couple of weeks I would find mouse corpses in various states, mouse heads, limbs, tails and general wobbly entrails at random places through the house, though my moggies were kind enough to leave most if them by the front door.

So yeah... cat. Your mouse problem will vanish, plus, you get a cat. Which is awesome anyway.

Shame it wasn't a rat in your kitchen. Then you could have had a cool thread title that we could sing along to.

kill it with fire. I been battling mice since bloody xmas. cat isnt an option at the moment.
i think they are being funded by the communists. ive got enough ammunition and tinned food for 2 weeks. send help

seriously if you see 1 then there are 10 more lurking in the shadows

Mice absolutely stink when they urinate over everything, besides which, you have a rodent (vermin) crawling around in your kitchen, accessing your food and walking over all your utensils... Seriously, get rid of it that's gross!!!!
