I have a mouse in the kitchen...

We were sat watching telly on Sunday evening when my wife spotted a field mouse sat by the door calm as could be. Before I could get up our cat stolled in and spotted it, cue the usual Tom and Jerry chase as it fled into another room and darted behind cover.

I went in to find my cat wedged into the gap behind a chair and the radiator nose to nose with the mouse. I think it fancied it's chances and had adopted a boxing stance. I opened the patio doors and tried to grab it, at which point it decided to fight another day and it scurried out at a very unhurried pace. My cat failed to notice this and spent the rest of the night searching for it.

So yeah, get a cat :p

Pro Tip

Get this Snap-E Mouse Trap for like £5 and use peanut butter as bait and position it like a T within their path (ie with the bait end an inch from the wall and the other end furthest from the wall)

I saw one running around a few months back - in 5 days it caught all 5 of them

Chuck dead mouse into a shopping bag - tie - chuck in outside bin.

If you want to fart around then get a non lethal trap

Do not use poison as the mouse will die within it's den and stink up the place as it rots in an unaccessible area.

Mice absolutely stink when they urinate over everything, besides which, you have a rodent (vermin) crawling around in your kitchen, accessing your food and walking over all your utensils... Seriously, get rid of it that's gross!!!!

But he cleans the floor whenever food falls down and I don't see it. Tell you truth I had noticed extra clean floor lately cause sometimes I spill oats in morning and they're all cleaned up when I get back.

My 2 cats have caught, played with and killed 2 mice in the last week :). They were very happy sit next to it and present it to me when I came downstairs. I'm glad they do their bit against these pests, but it is quite cruel watching what they do to them before they die.

My brother used a Dyson vacuum to catch and kill them.

i had a mouse in the first place i rented, i used a brush to push it our the door then the landlord came along to water the plants and i saw the mouse dead in the plants.
although it was cute the thought of knowing it was there would be very unsettling

We had some mice not long ago, Caught them using a bucket or the kitchen bin, a plank of wood and some peanut butter... We then took them to the fields down from our house and released them :) I'm too kind to kill it
