Have you tried contacting the manufacturer directly?
Speaking as someone that had on paper at least a power supply that should have been upto the job of powering my rig and now sitting here waiting for the dhl van to bring me my new corsair psu i really would have the psu checked out. You returned it to the shop and they had no problems were they using your psu or another ?, you would be surprised how little extra power draw can bring a psu to it's limit. If only for piece of mind has to be worth making sure your psu is not on it's way out.
use your massive student loan ! = gtx295
Back to manufacturer in this case...
Done this with my BFG and got a replacement no problem.
use your massive student loan ! = gtx295
lol, and have no food until the next loan![]()
or booze!
If your anywhere near south leicestershire i have an old psu that you could have but i doubt you are near so no use to you. It is damn annoying when you buy a branded psu only to find it isn't upto much but they are the heart of any system and don't always get the consideration they should. I have just got my corsair will be putting it in tomorrow as i am too tired today and tiredness and dismantling things don't usually end well lol.
WOW, MIGHT HAVE CRACKED IT!
ACCORDING TO MY GTX 280 BOX, I NEED 40A ON THE +12V RAIL. FROM LOOKING AT THE SPECS OF MY PSU ON THE ENERMAX WEBSITE http://enermax.de/en/products/power-supply/infiniti.html IT APPEARS TO HAVE ONLY 30A. IS THIS NOT CRAZY RUBBISH FOR A 720W PSU? ANYWAY, IS IT IN FACT 90A BECAUSE IT COMBINES THE THREE RAILS OR WILL I INDEED NEED TO FORK OUT ON A TX850. AT LEAST I'LL KNOW.
does it still do it if you run the rest of your comp at stock...rather than the overclock you have listed in your sig.....?
That PSU would have no trouble powering a 280.
