Good job I did, what the hell is this! Looks like a stone? Can I just pull it out?

When I took the F1s off our A3 there were loads of stones in the tyres its just the softer rubber on the surface that pics them up, nothing to worry about although I picked the larger ones out before selling them.

It'll only work in deeper as the tyre wears down.

Pull it out, if you get a puncture in doing so, get it repaired. It's better than a blow-out on the motorway.

No they are not - they might last longer but this is not why they cost more.

34 quid per tyre.

Hardly a biggy.

Thing is I have a 1000 mile trip at the weekend and after taking my car for an oil service today the guy told my two fronts were not legal:(

So fitting is tomo and sod the expense!

I've pulled it out. It's a really sharp bit of flint or something, no wonder it got wedged in. It's just shorter than the tread depth remaining so hopefully it hasn't gone through the tyre itself just the treadblock!

Aye my point exactly. Makes complete sense...not :o

sorry easyrider

but they've got a point

you've got £135 to burn for fun, but yet say the reason you havent done a full install is because you cant afford it

if you dont want to install it into the dash, say so. No point in making up excuses.

You two are really hung up about my centre console lol

Its not a necessity.

Legal tyres are, and waiting 4 days for mytyre's to deliver was not an option.

Not to sure what dosen't make sense here?

Buying 4 new tyres? Or wasting 250 big ones on a piece of plastic for my dash?

The answer is ******* easy!

In life one has to prioitise as one gets older you learn these things.

Finish UNI first lads then you will understand things a bit more clearer. :D

the argument doesnt wash. If your money is so valuable, why can you afford to waste so much money for the convenience of getting them installed at work ?

you dont have to have them delivered off the net, i bet you could get a much better deal by shopping around and visiting somebody that stocks a cheaper tyres like the Eagle F1

oh and i finished uni nearly 6 years ago kthnxbye

Right now I can't afford to waste 250 on something that brings me nothing but aesthetics.

Its easy.

I will finish the centre console when I CBA and when I have a spare 250 to

waste on such frivolities :p

$250 = £125

Checking tyre tread before someone else has to tell you its nearly illegal > Being forced to pay £700 to get legal
