Somewhere in the middle.
I have a Phantek Enthoo Primo with so many possible fan combinations but I've learned something about my setup.

I think when I built it I didn't set them up correctly. They were plugged into the case hub but they only spin for about five seconds when I power on the PC.

After that none of my case fans ever spin. However the 3 fans I have attached to my radiator run at a really low Rpm as intended.

What I've learned is that this is totally adequate and it's shown me how unnecessary the majority of my case fans have been.

My case has remained almost dust free after over a year. It's almost silent, and it's still keeping a 5820k and Gtx 1080 at good temps.

Don't go overboard on fans guys. They are better at making ya pc dusty than anything else :D

Agree. My systems have 2x or 3x 140mm case fans. All supply air 2-3c warmer than room. Only time the mine spin up above idle (500-700rpm) is when working real hard, and even at 100% CPU load they only spin 950-1050rpm.

I only have 22 atm, Primo also but i filled up all the rad spots with push pull where possible :)

I know what ya mean though, theyre not needed most of the time, i've just set up speed fan so most of them are turned off most of the time but it starts more of them up as needed.

22! Hahaha wow that's a lot.

3 fans blowing gently through my top mounted radiator is proving okay. You can probably cut back a bit lol.

Like yours my PC is watercooled with EK blocks. However with mine I have 1 480mm radiator in the top of my case. This is linked to both my CPU and GTX1080.

Honestly you should start selling off some of your fans haha.

My FT02 has 3x 180mm inlet fans and one 120mm exhaust fan
120mm CPU cooler fan and my GTX 1080 FE also has a fan

And one I almost forgot, My PSU also has a 140mm fan

So 7 fans in total

It's always good to use a cheap electronic thermometer with a probe to measure the temperature of the air that is being drawn into your CPU / GPU coolers and then see what difference your case fans make to this both individually and in combination. Not only can you eliminate fans that are actually doing nothing to help cooling but with a better idea of what fans do what you can tweak their settings for best performance.
