I just completed COD4

What the hell?

Edit

Phew

COD5 is WW2 based and awarded to the same n00bs who made a mess of COD3 aswell as no PC version (going by console users comments it was worst out all COD's).

Since they are a console game maker they did not give us COD3 on the PC and if they do for COD5 it will be crappy IMO.

Infinti Ward are the best at COD's.

Heh my wife has ordered it for my birthday and it should be here on Tuesday, I play the demo over and over I love it so much. I hope the full game is as good as the demo

UO wasn't by Infinity Ward. Just looked on Wiki, it was developed by Grey Matter and Pi Studios, it seems. Nonetheless, was a very good expansion.

Treyarch merged with Gray Matter studio so I guess you could say they developed cod u.o.

Dunno what Activision were playing at passing the 5th installment on to them though.

Just finished the game about 5 minutes ago. I have to agree it's an excellent game, but the start few missions bored me a bit and was expecting it to be just average.

When I finally started getting into it the game became much more immersive, as if I was inside a move.

There's nothing better than putting a bullet through a Nazi's head imo.

COD4 was a great game, but simply far too short, i usually get sick of games adding filler, but i wish this one did!

COD5 is back to WWII and i'm glad about that, i think the game developers will know what we want by now after receiving some pretty harsh criticism about COD3 and will hopefully have taking it all on board.

I can see it being a great game FWIW, i'm probably the only one in here mind!

I didnt think there was much wrong with cod3, sp for me was enjoyable enough. The people who made cod3 are also the creators of RTCW (sp, multi was done by nerve).

Also i dont get the complaining about ww2 games, yes its a point in time with a fixed history but theres still tons of operations that havn't been touched on. With modern shooters its normally "omg shoot the arab terrorists".

Theres also probably more modern\futuristic shooters on the market than ww2 shooters.

I totally totally agree. As I was going through the first lot of missions I was thinking "why on Earth is everyone saying that this was one of the best games they've ever played?" But after getting onto Act II (I think that's the one), all became clear.

But still.. the ending when you look over at Price and he's being given CPR... It made me well up it did. :(

i did the same as you, i was playing the demo over and over waiting for it to be delivered! Just completed the game about 15 minutes ago after this was posted and believe me, its not the same as the demo......its about 10 times better :p! I stopped reading the first post as i didn't want my game spoiled! I'm also gunnery sergeant1 on the mp, which is very good! Everything about the game makes you want to keep playing it! The epilogue is very good, although I'm not really sure how it was related to anything lol

Single player was shorter than I hoped but otherwise one of the few FPS to grab my attention recently!

hmmm, i assumed it was price, because of the whiskers! But the name tag said something different, I'm sure it did!

Best bits about cod4 -- S.A.S. and Russians, most games are either, Germans and Americans, or Americans and Arabs! Nice to see more of a cold war conflict style game play!

I would prefere a short and encapsulating single player. E.g Call of Duty 4
Than a long winded single player than didnt grab you.

Exactly, I think if the game had gone on longer I might have lost interest. It kept me wanting more, which is better than making it too long. :D

it was short enough to keep everything fairly fresh and different scenario wise, if it was longer things would probably start to get repetitive

*cries* I can't complete it - I'm waiting for the helicopter at the end of the sniper mission and I either get swamped (after deploying the claymores) or eaten by that ****ing dog.
