Thats much more like it  - see my sig - I much prefer a nice 'Paul to a "Omg I'm so metal" ibanez

i hear ya, but i dont think Jems have that "metal" tag .... i dont play metal .... rock maybe, but not metal ...

i know les pauls sound fantastic, but i just cant stand them, the shorter scale length, the half a tree trunk neck, the way they rest on your lap ... i just cant get into them, but like i said, they sound nice

:)

although the evolutions have to be the best pickups i have ever heard

tree trunk neck

not entirly true, mine nut width is 43mm like most Jems i believe...It's just the weight you need to get used to, not saying that mine is heavier than dmpooles yamaha ;), but it makes all other guitars seem like toys lol...

like it was said earlier, i just can't deal with the handle naff naff naff, granted its usful to hold but if i had a Jem i'd carry it in it's case, play it or put it in a stand.

but nevertheless, good purchase dude!

opinion is the spice of life ;)

I do have a confession to make and some already know that the Jems aren't mine but my guitarists. I have the opportunity to play on many guitars and local guitarists will show me their new purchases. The JEM is a wonderful guitar and one I'd love to have in my collection BUT in my opinion I know I've got a real guitar in my hands when I put a Gibson Les Paul around my neck. the JEM is a wonderful purchase though and totally suited to your style.

I resent you saying a Les Paul a 'real' guitar and a Jem isn't :p

I know what you mean though, i'd love a strat right now, I love my Jem and other Ibanez but there's only one thing which sounds like a strat and that's a strat :p Same for a LP.

Lovely guitar there mate.

Keep promising myself one if I ever learn to play, currently have a RG321MH which is way too good for me at the moment :o
