The timestamp was on my post quoting it. It was a good 10 minutes after yours and the typo was still there after I'd posted it. So much for 30 seconds...

But as for 'making an example' of you - I merely highlighted a phrase commonly misused on the forums.
However, you made it personal. That's your ******* problem, Karen, not mine. I even explained the error and the correct form, again without making it personal, but you're still on your high horse even now.
Rather that treat your wrongdoing as an opportunity to learn and do better next time, you're getting all entitled about it. I'm not going to apologise for something you've done, and if you don't like it being pointed out or used as an example, don't do it in the first place.

I'm sure it took 30 seconds to edit the one typo I highlighted... but it's strange you didn't edit any of your others - You only altered the very one I mentioned in my post 10 minutes later...

Feels more like I'm being trolled than doing any trolling... and I specifically said I wasn't trolling earlier, though I have subsequently returned a few potshots in response.

But no, I merely grabbed one example of (as previously described by someone else earlier in the thread), "irritating word usage".
James enquired what was wrong with his usage, I explained, he then took this as a personal attack and went all Karen about it.
I made light of it initially, then it ceased to be entertaining and devolved into whatever thie above now is.

That's all this is... or was, at least.
I've still no idea (or rather, no care) why he has such a chip on his shoulder about it, but he clearly can't ignore it or take it in stride, and it keeps me busy while at work.
 
Have you asked a mod to verify what I'm saying yet? That would cut a lot of your **** out. Haha what am I saying, that's exactly why you haven't asked.

There's nothing to ask about - The typo in your post was still showing 10 minutes later when I then quoted it in mine... though probably closer to 8 minutes, as I took a couple to type the post itself.
If it's such a pivotal element of your life, you'd have dragged a Mod on here to publicly post whatever data it is you want to be made known.

Your issue, as you have already stated, is that I responded quickly. The typo, as with the others previously brought up, was still made.
 
It's really simple. Here, get your wife to translate this:

I made a typo, which I corrected within a minute or so. Had I have left it much longer my post would say "last edited on:" with the time and date of the edit following it. The fact that it doesn't means I catagorically couldn't have left the post for the 10 minutes your dingbat husband claimed some mythical timestamp showed I did. It isn't my fault he saw my reply, opened it the instant he saw it, then took 10 minutes to post a reply. He could easily varify this with a moderator but he actively chooses not to, to instead pursue this daft argument of his to the end of time.

I don't care about any mistake I make in a post as long as its legible. But I will not allow him to lie about me. I don't care apostrophes, either but I again will not let him try to make an example of me (ha, as if...) without a reply.

It was still there when I quoted it 8-10 minutes later, which is why I was able to quote it, and why I don't need a Mod to verify anything.
I'm not lying about you - Your mistakes were there and they were nothing to do with me, just as me mentioning those mistakes were nothing to do with you.

YOU made this all about you. No-one else.
You're also the one who both started and is still pursuing the argument, currently reduced to your one remaining premise no longer anything to do with the original one, because it's all you've got left that is about you.

This thread is about the very mistakes people make. If you don't like your mistakes being known, don't make them. If someone points one out, just acknowledge it and do better next time... and if you really don't care, then expect to get pulled on it repeatedly.
This is no different to you driving like a bell-end, and then footage of that ending up on Stop Police or some dash-cam YouTube channel.
