Hi all, im looking for something fun to play. I recently got back into WOW and it didnt take me long to finish the new content. Which for me ment getting loremaster finished :)

I like questing. Ive tried daily grinding to get the rep for the gear to do Heroic Dungeons. But it feels like im doing X to do X again.

So are there any promising looking MMOs due out in the next month or so that promise as good a PVE environment as well as a PVP game. Or maybe there is something ive missed.

Let your opinions fly.

As a note ive played EQ2, WOW, WAR, Lotro, DND, EVE, StarTrek and Conan however the only ones that ive played in the last 12 months are EVE, Lotro and WOW so if there have been any major changes to any old ones let me know.

Thanks
Brian.

Eve if you havn't played all the new exciting changes, Rift. Thats all I can come up with really.. DC Universe online is just a bad console port, I'd avoid.

Seriously, people have it wrong. IT IS NOT A CONSOLE PORT!! It never was. It was made for the console cos Sony wanted to test an MMO on a console. Not once has it been described as a console port.

I know people who have played both the PC and the PS3 version. They have said over and over the PC version trumps the PS3 over and then some.

At this stage, for what you are looking for, its probably best to just wait for Guild Wars 2.

Rift is good, but you seem to have some good taste, eq2 is still a terrific mmo for those who like their games with a bit of depth.vanguard might be something you'd enjoy as well.

Same here, the ones calling it a port are the ones who havent even played it.

vanguard is still going i see, i had very high hopes for this, esp the crafting, it was supposed to be thespiritual successor to eq2, but i didnt like it for some reason which ive forgot.

Jumpgat.... o wait.. Eve might be worth a go, its an odd game and not suited to everyone. Or as a few have suggested jump onto the rift bandwagon. New promising MMO, id give it a shot if WoW wasn't my mmo of choice.

I looked on MMORPG and people were moaning and such about it. As for Vanguard played it at lauch, way too buggy and its dev team got cut if i recall corectly.

So Rift is ok. Does it have interesting quests, as in do they all fit together into a nice whole story?

If so i may well pick it up on steam.

I sense a Christmas special deal for me IF SW : Old Republic is rubbish (which i'm starting to think it might just be, judging by the consoleness of Dragon Age 2, I'm awaiting an announcement about SW : Old Republic being released on the 360. The nail in the bioware/lucasarts coffin from me)
