I think some people protest a bit too much, got something you want to share with the forum?
As a previous owner of an MR2, MGF, Audi TT, Lotus Elise, Porsche Boxster I don't buy cars to look manly, I buy them for driving enjoyment and fun. If it makes you happy though I'll gladly stop buying cars I enjoy and will buy something that'll turn me into a proper bloke. I'll shave my head and get some tattoos too if you like.
Can I keep my pink shirt and cravat though?

You could if you liked, but if you just could bring yourself to be honest, you'd realise that the people who drive mini coopers are:
a) Women
b) Homosexuals
c) Your mate who you thought was a homosexual when you first met him but then you realised that he just seems a bit gay because he's overwhelmingly positive, loves dancing and wearing pinstripe waistcoats, spends a lot of money on hair wax and gets on much better with girls than boys because he drinks WKD blue and enjoys shoes, but he's got a girlfriend so he can't be a bender. He used to drive a KA and he wanted a new Beetle but now they're out of fashion so he'll buy a Mini if he can afford it, otherwise he'll have to settle for a Fiat 500
It's not a problem that you like the car and I don't think any less of you, it's just that you have to accept, as we have, that you're a tiny bit of a girl, deep down.

Also can I just add, I like my slightly gay mate who drives a KA and desperately wants a Mini Cooper very much, he's a wonderful person. He's just a bit poofy.

ive never understood mini hate, i see them as being girly in no way what so ever every one who i know that owns one is a bloke, they are fun nippy cars and people bang on about fiat 500's aLLLL day when they are GIRLY, like flat out girl mobiles. seriously i dont know how they escape the hate

It's about style vs substance. The Fiat looks good, isn't bad and is cheap. The Mini is not a bad car but is fair to say it is more stylish than it's rivals. Is this reflected by a decrease in performance or an increase in price? I don't know much about Minis to say but it might do from your average persons perception.
Nice car though, hope you have fun in it.
eidolon has a motorbike if he wants a good thrill he can take that. IMO the mini will be just as fun most of the time compared to an M3 without the high costs.
For fun factor I'd take the Mini over the Monaro.
I've had plenty of fast cars and trust me, speed does not always equal fun. I'm not into BHP chasing so I can brag on forums, I'd rather have something with power that I could use. You could halve the power of my Elise and it would still be amazing fun.
My google skills lacked at this time of morning, but black stripes and black roof on this colour mini looks great! Not sure if its a factory combination but a guy at work has one (JCW). I'll see if I can grab a pic this week.
