Haha look at this:

They're having pretty much the same argument.

If you see a man driving one (very rare) perhaps he may be a big girls handbag or even a hairdresser.

I was told that scissors are an optional extra that are included free in the BMW brush and comb pack

And in the interests of balance...

This 'Ladies' car business is total crap. There is no such thing.

Personally i wouldnt touch a mini with a bargepole but that is only because i like much bigger cars. If you are a good driver, take it on a long run on twisty country roads, there wont be too much keeping up with you!

To the 'Lady' who said she got rid of her boyfriend because he bought one, seems to me he is better off without you!

I don't get this insecure argument though. I mean if your ears were cold and you had the choice of going to a football match wearing pink polka dot ear muffs or putting up with cold ears, most men I reckon would put up with the cold ears through fear of what others might think or how they might be perceived. I don't think that means that they're automatically insecure.

Cool car. Always liked them. :)

I find it quite ironic how most people say the car is girly/gay, yet Eidolon is undoubtedly significantly more manly than most of the posters in this thread! ;)

I think we've already covered the difference between the car being camp and the man driving it being camp :).

Nowt wrong with that, fits the bill of what you need and nothing wrong with Mini's, good little car. Rich mans Fiat 500 mind.

We all live with the stigmas of our cars. If you can't then you need to live a little.

With the VTI it was the "OMG its a rover"/"OMG Grandad Wagon"/"OMG Crap Interior"/"OMG VTEC SUX zero Torque" etc etc etc.

All of which I accepted and played up to. It's all very funny after all :p

Now its "OMG Richer Chav"/ "Drug dealer" / "Stupid Spoiler" / "Service it every 5 minutes"

It would be a sad day that I let this stuff bother me.

After all, I love my ironing board spoiler :(:p

I think my biggest regret in life is that I cant have a car with a massive wing :(

Why not? Buy a car with one on, or buy a wing! :p

Have you entertained having two cars? An obligatory Fox-esque uber executive comfort wagon, and a dirty japanese thrash-mobile with a bus seat interior and massive wing, that you secretly pine for late every evening? :p:D

I'd love a project RX7.

One day. One day.....

I'm puzzled by this thread - people seem to think the Mini is a "Queers Car"

Well it won a spot as 'Best Twinkmobile' on gaylife.about.com's 2006 Top 10 Gay Cars list :p

I'm not sure how much having another guy talking about his manliness and winking is helping the cause :p

Boxster > Mini

whats next. Street Ka? :D

Tigra anyone?? :p

The only aesthetic element that I don't like of the Mini is that huge Speedo slap bang in the middle of the dash.

All else is fine in my opinion; who gives a rat's ass if people make judgements on you based on your cars? You cannot control what people will think or do.

If you own an old car people think you're poor; if you own a loud car people think you're speeding, ad infinitum.

i do actually like the speedo in the centre, thats about the only part that does hark back to the original car.

Tigra = no chance. thats a few steps after a Vitara
