I need help understanding Raid

I bought two Western Digital Raptor 150. Currently I have Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 10 NCQ 300GB contains windows xp 64bit and all my games.

I m trying to raid both raptors and move all my games from Maxtor to the new storage.

is that possible ? or do I have to install windows on the new Raptors ?

I m trying to keep windows on maxtor and just move the games to the new drives ?

I m using SLI-DR + windows XP 64bit on maxtor...

First off what sort of Raid are you talking about? At consumer level you generally have two main types Raid0 and Raid1.

You will have to build an array in a sort of second 'bios', your motherboard manual will explain how to do this.

Do you want to boot from these drives? If so then you need Windows installed, if not then you only need to format them and then you can re-install your games.

Yes you will probably need the top driver for XP64 but I'd suggest you read up on the pros and cons of Raid first :)

It doesn't appear to be for me either unfortunately so I'm afraid I can't help, maybe email DFI and see if they can either update their link or send you the file?
