I need some help - PC freezing when playing games

Well Beej, once again thanks for all the help!

Hopefully this will solve my issue, but who knows! I may be asking you about MOBO/PCU's next! :D

I really hope so too. At least one 7850 should be much more efficient than two 4850s, and quieter too :)

Let me know how you get on, hopefully we can find this problem.

Windows 7! :)

Although I ran Vista before this, and had the exact same issue.

Okay good just checking you weren't stuck with XP/Vista! ;)

Did you try that graphics memory test? I'd be interested to see what it says. If you can't be bothered now you're getting something new don't worry!

Haha, I did run it but it came up with nothing.

Didn't feel the need to bother you with something else :/

Card should hopefully show up on Thursday. Man I hope this fixes it!

As you ordered quite late I'd expect it Friday now :(

I hope it does too, must be so frustrating!

Just so happens that 12 hours after I order my card, the damn thing goes down £20 in price.

>.<

This better solve my issue or I may go mental!

Contact OCUK about it [ring/webnote/customer services section on the forum].
I've heard sometimes they will honour a deal if its so close like that. Worth asking!

Yeah, I gave them a call and the guy said that since this is a one day deal they can't do anything for me :/

Such is life :(

That sucks... You could in theory return it under DSR for a refund and buy the one on offer? Of course don't do this, but ring again and say that you could, see what they say?

Nah, I don't want to cause a fuss. No point being a dick about it, the guy on the phone was nice enough, and he tried to sort something for me. At the end of the day I guess its just £20, which is one less night out!

Fair enough :)
... a night which you can spend in playing games :D

Card has turned up.

It's very quiet! :D

All plugged in, but I can't seem to be able to plug my second monitor in.

I assume this is because you can't go from a VGA to DVI cable> DVI to HDMI adapter> Graphics card.

What I want to know, is will this cable:
