I need some V8 in my life

The time has finally come in my life where I've accepted the fact I need some V8.

Unfortunately, the majority of stuff with V8s is big exec saloons (which I don't want), mega expensive sports cars (which I can't afford), or US stuff (which I know nothing about).

I don't do mega miles (6-7k a year), i'd like something sporty rather than executive, insurance isn't a massive issue (23 with 3 years NCB in OK area)

So OcUK, find me a V8 powered sports car, preferably a coupe, which costs around £8k, I can probably stretch to a bit more if its' the right car.

Lexus/toyota soarer 4.0v8 although you wont find any at that price. more around the 1- 2.5k. and the insurance is cheap, or it was for me when I got quotes.

Maybe i'm missing something, but i'm surprised how good that looks for the money. I thought you still had to spend about 11k to get a nice example.

Thats a prefacelift one. Plus you need £5k in a savings account to keep it going for a year

There were reliability modifications to the engine among other things.

Bit too luxury for you perhaps, and God help you if anything goes wrong, but CL500 should be available and a coupe. £8k should get a MY2000
