Avoid.
Too many parts are unique to the car, and the engine isn't that great anyway.

Have you heard a 260 with the x-power exhausts fitted?
Quite tasteful IMHO. Almost as quiet as the standard kit when driving normally but very "Mad Max" when wellying it.
I'd go and find a late e34 M5 and save about £4k of the budget for getting it half sorted!
These things are hand built bargains atm, for the brave & financially foolish only!

yes they've got a de-tuned mustang engine in a longbridge fail wagon of epic proportion
wont matter with that exhaust note though and at least being based on the 75, wont fall apart within a week.

Lots of nice brand names come with the 260 though.
Prodrive involvment, Mustang, Tremec, AP racing.....The upside of Rover producing this car when they were so close to oblivion was that they couldn't even begin to try and design their own components.....so thankfully they bought externally. If Rover had been cash rich at the time then I believe the 260 would've been dire.
