I NEED these wheels.

Well that white Chevette looks like the biggest heap I've ever seen.
It's a stage rally car. In the majority of circumstances it would tear your Bora a new one I'm afraid.

Especially seeing as it's running a 2.3 16v slant 4 with stump-pulling amounts of torque in a car with an all-up weight of around 900Kg and wide, sticky tarmac tyres...

Wow thats a very nice SD1, how long ago was that taken and when did you sell it?

I 'think' the pics from about 3 / 4 years back - for the real old skool lot, its FruitBats old car.....
Sold it about 2 years back to help pay for the dragster - should be up north somewhere if he still has it

All the SD1 lovers come out of closet :D So is that the full 3.5 model?

3.5 VDP - Stage 2 heads....blah blah - which I converted from Inj to Holley 390 - as it kept running lean on the top end - lovely motorway muncher

Penski, these youngsters have no idea of a class classic car...

RWD, loads of grunt, no weight...

Old Skool Buddy...

:D :D

Those wheels may be OTT, as the size will restrict the acceleration..

Try and get some lightweight mag wheels instead...

PS. what are you getting MPG wise? about 10-12?

My Dad bought an SD1 for the engine. We needed a new one for the Cobra and this SD1 came up in Birmingham. The guy had spent thousands on the engine, a fully worked 3.9 and got the speedo recalibrated to 160 (which we all laughed at - more fool us) but he sold it for £1500 because he was stuck in a divorce settlement or something. Anyway we found out the hard way that it probably would do 160 when we piled past 140 but lost our bottle in what was essentially a rusty old heap with a race engine in it. No pics, but it was low, bodykitted and metallic lime green. Really gross but looked cool and went like STINK.

Completely OTT but I NEED them...I'll probably store them until I do the V8 conversion at the least....Or stick them on my dad's mkIII Golf Estate.

'spensive!

I get 30mpg in town, 45mpg on the m/way (tucked up right behind a truck, slipstreaming at 50mph in 4th).

But the white car ain't mine.

Fox - from memory, it's around 220lb/ft of torque...I'll find out for you though.

My mind has been called plenty of things but 'old' is a first! ;)

I must chat to Lashout about Lexus V8s at some point...

Penski; you actually bidding on these? It's just funny that the top bidder also seems to have a thing for pink shoes, is that vogue for the modern chevette driver ;)

I'm here, if you ever need to suss me for 1UZFE info....500BHP for around 500 quid? Not a bad investment, including engine :D

Just get em, worst you can do is dislike em and sell em on :D
