well did get to 3.2 but well, photoshop wouldnt open due to hardware failure :D oops think it is time for new ram as CPU temp was only on 54C

u still need to put the memory on a divider, it will slow it down yes as that is the point. if it is unstable at 1:1 timings then should make it stable with lower settings.

well i got to 3.4 on 5:4 n died again when i restarted it wouldnt boot, so think i need new ram n e way.. any recommendations?

What about trying it with 2x512 instead of the 4 you have? I don't know anything about p4 overclocking but normally 2 sticks is better than 4 for overclocking iirc?

well i do a lot of video stuff on the pc and photoediting so really need the 2gb...... what do u all recommend as replacemend for my current ram then?

Just try what its failing on, with two sticks and see if it works?

p4 is less fussy about how many sticks you use, allough it does have some effects

you could buy something like some gskill hz or some ocz? should be good for ~250

1st'ly get shot of 1gb of ram, you'll see a change

2nd set all you timgings to the bigegst number possibly thus giving slack

3rd what voltgae you got as it's not shown in cpuz oddly

4th set max safe volt for you ram

5th maybe add some volts to the agp, i have 1.7 max in bios on my agp as this increase the chipset (nb) satbailty

Set the ram 1:1, go all the way back to stock and take everything off spd to manual, up the fsb, max saf volt i'd say 1.5, i had my p4e on air to 4g at 1.525 and my mobo is volt modded so it probs came out 1.6 no idea what the abit is like

Run super pi 1m per oc'ing till it crash then adjust things such as volts, ram divder and ram volt

I'd love to get that cpu in my system add go in at 275mhz giving me 3.8ghz the speed would be mental due to the fsb, if i could get it to 285 i'd be happy at 4ghz and 285mhz fsb

can your board do 285 fsb?
