Hey Guys,

Instead of continuing my very old thread on here which was about my book. This thread is a more specific one I have made about a troubling problem I have at this point in my life.

I wrote my book and finished the first draft about 8 months ago. But then I became busy with other things, then about 4 months ago I gave my book out to a close friend so he could read it and tell me which parts needs refinement before I write my second draft. I feel that my book doesn't need a second draft and just an edit and then it can go to publish. My friend agrees as well. He had read about 180 pages and thinks it's incredible but may be a bit too long as he's got another 140 pages to go.

Unfortunately it is taking him such a long time to read this book, he has had it for 4 months. He keeps ending up becoming busy with other things. I really want his insight in how he thinks my book is, he has written on some of the pages which part needs improving. I really can't wait any more. He is taking too long to read. Is there any agencies out there that can help me or what can I do. I spent a large amount of my time writing this book and I don't want these pages I wrote to sit on a shelf gathering dust but I want them out there in the hands of readers.

Please what can I do?

he thinks its incredible but hasnt managed to read it in 4 months ;)

and has the only copy, have you checked waterstones :p

Is this a new get rich slow/never scheme?

Liked some of your other ones.

I actually admire Dvdbunnys determination to succeed in the accumulation of wealth I just wish he would go about it in more efficient and effective ways.

Have you ever read Think and grow rich, dvdbunny?

300 odd pages like this or like this? ;)

It's incredible yet he can't finish it?

You waited 8 months for his opinion? Other friends and family?

Just send a copy off to a publisher. They have editors who proof read for a living.

LOL. Just LOL.

It can hardly be a riveting read if he can't get though 320 pages in 4 months. This would lead me to suggest that you may need to do some more drafts ...
