I sold it.......and bought something else...

It's an 86 Corvette C4, Manual 4 speed (With OD on the top three), with a 5.7 smallblock Chevy, generating 290BHP - at the rear wheels, as a recent dyno showed.

It's completely, ferociously insane :D

And I love it!

Looking good there! So whats that? About 370bhp at the fly?

Plus fitting nitious. Didn't know you were doing that. Will have to pop down to yours to see this thing.

Oh.

Hell.

*******.

Yes.

Better watch out for the "OMGWTFBBQLOLZOR CART SPRINGZZZZ!!!!oneone" suspension, mind. I'm told they make cars fall off the road at the first sign of a corner....:p

Is it wrong that the first question that springs to mind after viewing the pictures of this iconic classic muscle car is...

... it has a trip computer? Awesome!

Yes. Yes it is. However, it's not entirely surprising coming from you :D

Yea, you can have instanteous readout as well.........

You can switch between "metric" and english too, but having oil pressure in kPa and fuel economy in 'litres per kilometer' is rather confusing :D

All works too, which is nice!

I've seen 28 on the gauge in 4th OD, whether that's anywhere near realistic levels or not I have no idea :D

It's buttons galore! Electric windows, central locking, remote opening boot, electric seats, air con, electric mirrors, heated mirrors, flyoff handbrake, power steering........The list is endless!

It's weird!

Which version of the SBC is in there then Lashout? I know the second gen LT-1 was fitted as standard from '92, but I forget which iteration of the motor the 'vettes had beforehand.

before anyone brings up horse and cart suspension

Too late, I already (jokingly) did ;)

Corvette's have fully independent suspension  and C4's are known to handle very very well

It's certainly virtually independent. Given the measure of built in anti-roll inherent in the 'vette transverse leaf design, it's never going to be completely independent. That said....

1) It's lighter than an equivalent coil spring setup.
2) It has a lower CoG than an equivalent coil spring setup.
3) It's tougher than an equivalent coil spring setup.

Composite transverse leafs for the win, to be honest....

It's an L98 Smallblock as far as I'm aware.....447NM of torque as standard, or in proper speak, 330ft.lb.

Only owned it 2 hours and driven it a few miles so far (to get fuel, LOL) and didn't want to drive it in the dark.

Everything works differently and isn't where you expected it.

Tell you what though, it's immensely comfortable. Way beyond what I expected. It is an incredibly firm ride though, typical yank 'sports' car :D
