I sold it.......and bought something else...

Dash board = KITT !
LOL
Love the switch gear, it just looks so 80's VCR. My dad would get lost trying to demist the windows there I am certain :D

Running costs are well......I'll find out! Shouldn't be bad though, lots of Corvette specialists in the UK and support from the states.
Are there any Specialists in Bristol you know of?

Whats the insurance like on these, horrendous because there all imports, or is this not the case?

Well, I was prepared for horrible insurance.....But I pay just under 600 quid for this, agreed value of 5000. 21 with 3 years NCB (lost the fourth due to swapping companies  )

So not all bad :)

Well worth looking into! You may be suprised! There are lots of specialist yank insurers too, who may offer cheaper prices.

I'll have a look at the specialists, see if you've got a local one

Another damn cool car following on from Steve's purchase.

Loving that dash long time. Does it talk to you in a slightly camp english accent? :p

"Good morning Michael"

that dash looks more insane than the car

enjoy, and dont rap it round a lampost showing off to the locals...assuming you dont run out of fuel before completing said stunt :p

Everyone has completely missed the point, that car is an abomination.

For a start it's completely the wrong colour scheme for that model of vette.

Well, I've done a few miles in it now - and I'm totally head over heels with it, it's a fantastic machine. One of the few things that really strikes me is how comfortable it is, you're low slung, cacooned in what feels like a bomber cockpit with rows of toggles and the VDO displays.

It seems to handle very sharply too but understandably I haven't really pushed it's limits yet. The engine seems to be most willing after about 3000RPM oddly and it really comes on song and things start going baaackkwwaaarrddsss and the 'upshift' light comes on :p

Some shots from today:

The view through the plexi roof (which comes off, it's a targa top this one :))

Rear 'load' bay with underfloor storage and a spare in there too...

Very comfortable, supportive and completely electric seats!

What I'm getting so far:

Which isn't bad - this is all around town work and I haven't worked out how to get the best from it yet. On cruise you see 30/35 on the gauge, wether that's accurate or not I'll find out....

Last but not least!

My fuel status (green bar graph). Very retro!

Waiting to see how quickly this goes down :D

Great motor though, few things that need fettling (stereo & central locking) but otherwise a fantastic bit of kit. I really like it :) (can you tell!)

Thing that I like most is the fact is that it is as good as it looks - the paint/bodywork is immaculate.

Few swirls though, could do with a decent wax and polish. Interior needs a good deep clean too, with a toothbrush or simliar.

Absolutely eats up the miles - can't wait to put them on!
